At our Petersburg, VA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM CAPTAIN D’S ON CRATER ROAD PETERSBURG, VA. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A MONTH SINCE MY FATHER PURCHASED FOOD THERE AND CHEWING GUM WAS IN MY MOTHERS COLESLAW. MY FATHER TOOK THE FOOD BACK WITH THE RECEIPT AND THE MANAGER WAS ON DUTY AND HE WAS VERY RUDE TO MY FATHER. MY FATHER ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER AND THE MANAGER REPLIED I AM THE MANAGER. MY FATHER ASKED THE MANAGER TO STEP TO THE SIDE SO OTHER CUSTOMERS WOULDN’T HEAR. THE MANAGER REPLIED SAY WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. MY FATHER DIDN’T WANT TO SPEAK IN THE FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS. SO, MY FATHER STATED THERE IS CHEWING GUM IN MY WIVES COLESLAW AND THE MANAGER YELL “IT DIDN’T COME FROM HERE.” MY FATHER SAID “YES, IT DID SIR” AND THE MANAGER REPLIED “NO, IT DIDN’T.” MY FATHER TRIED TO SHOW HIM THE RECEIPT HOWEVER, THE MANAGER INSISTED THAT THE GUM DIDN’T COME FROM THERE CAPTAIN D’s. Great service and the food was nice and hot. My crab cake was burnt but TeeTee and the front of the house made up for any food eras made by the kitchen. The service was so awesome, I left wishing I hadn’t ordered my food to go. The manager and other young lady were awesome as well. Great job everyone. Will be back soon. Thanks again.

I received nothing I ordered. They confirmed my order when bringing it to me via a copy of the receipt. The lady asked if I had funnel cake fries and I said no. She said,”ok it’s not on the receipt”. She read off the receipt and I confirmed yes it was my order but what I was given was completely wrong. I didn’t receive a single item I ordered. Called to speak with them and got a call back quickly saying I need to drive back, bring the food I was given and get the correct order. Considering I live about 40min away and was passing through after work I shouldn’t have to drive back today, return food I’ve already opened then drive all the way back home. Never in my life….
