AMAZING FOOD and GREAT SERVICE. Parking is difficult if anything in town is happening. Didn’t appear to be ADA accessible (I could be wrong). The indoor atmosphere was okay. Very dated inside, and the building was warm/hot. Seating was very close, and the room was so loud we had to yell at each other to have a conversation. The outdoor seating area is MUCH better, more accommodating, and more inviting. Live acoustical guitar music was an amazing touch. All-in-all, it was still a pleasant dinner, and the quality of the steak and appetizers made up for the shortfalls. We have returned on four other occasions. Reservations are highly recommended, and if the weather is nice, request outdoor seating.

First time here, came to get dinner before a comedy show. The menu is very basic traditional Italian food but they have some specials that vary. The crab cakes were a little disappointing for the price – size was ok but they seemed a little overcooked and didn’t seem as fresh/handmade as I was expecting. The spinach salad was fresh and big, with a generous helping of bacon pieces (not bacon bits), which was great. The fettucine carbonara was really quite good, with big thick chunks of pancetta. My companions ordered the chef’s special and the seafood grill combo and were both pleased with their meals. The food is not cheap but the portions are fairly generous. Bread pudding was really good. The comedy show, by the way, was excellent!

I’ll just make it be as detailed as usual. First time here. Came for a business meeting. The ambiance is nice had a kind of a fishery rustic Italian village vibe style. Pretty nice. The wait staff is awesome on point. Very respectful & on the ball. We came at lunchtime so the traffic there was minimal, which is great for me lol. We ordered the fried Calamari, Mozzarella cake, & side salads for our appetizers. They were all really flavorful, crisp & filling. For our main we ordered the Steak and spinach, lobster bits in escargot sauce, and salmon. We got some things to discus with the main courses. Each wasn’t to either of the 4 of our liking. Steak was a bit overcooked/burnt. The lobster bits were overly oiled with the escargot sauce & garlic butter. The salmon was a bit too salty but overall not too bad. I’d definitely give this spot another shot. My next visit I’ll further explore the menu and dabble on the pasta side. The selection looked more than appealing so. There’s a play there.

It was a nice evening. I had the veal and my wife had the calamari. They were both VERY tender. The escargot were delicious, but the broken shells need to be replaced. However, it was so noisy sitting against the kitchen, we could not hear our friends across the table.

We had a disappointingly lackluster experience at Cap’s. Our waiter was totally lacking in personality. To say he was dour is being generous.

Rude! Advertising as dog friendly. Owner came out and rudely sent us away saying he’d lose his license if dogs were there. We had called to confirm dog friendly in advance, lady said yes. Will NEVER EAT HERE. One thing if don’t allow dogs…but to be so rude is completely different

I’ve had a better experience regarding the food in the past at this restaurant. Tonight, I had the Chicken Picatta, and it was underwhelming. The clam chowder tasted a bit off. The service was excellent, warm, helpful, and demonstrated immediacy. The waitress made excellent drinks and kept the kids’ refreshments full. They had live music and afforded one a welcoming ambiance. I hope the next time around the food is more impressive.

Local gem. Best place for quality Italian dining in east contra costa county. Lots of specials, old school atmosphere, and multiple outdoor patios make it a go to my family in our regular rotation.

Wasn’t impressed with the service or the food. Got a calamari steak sandwich…meh… nothing great. The waiter was grumpy and kind of rushed us. We were in and out in 50 minutes even though it was a birthday lunch and they weren’t busy. Sorry Caps I’ll go elsewhere next time
