Visited this nice little restaurant on the river. The food was exceptional. We started out with the fried corn and large shrimp for an appetizer. The kids had the buttered noodles and tomato soup with cheese bread. My son and daughter had the Angus burger which was extremely good and my daughter-in-law had the pulled pork sandwich also very good. I myself had the blackened cod sandwich with coleslaw and chips. Overall the visit was excellent and the view was beautiful. Our waitress was very attentive and dealt with the tribe of kids we had very well! Highly recommend!

Easily the best meal I’ve ever had was eaten here. I’ve been a couple times since, and it never disappoints. Maybe someday I’ll have the strength to order something other than the fried chicken, but I doubt it. It’s literally perfect. Go with a group, order one of everything, and get real comfy eating off each other’s plates. You won’t be sorry.

Very disappointed in the food. We had the corn appetizer to start. It was good but not great. Then we shared a salad which was supposed to be their steak salad minus the steak. This was disappointing. Hardly anything there but lettuce. I had the pasta dish which was a huge disappointment. Just not good. Edible and that’s about it. I left half of it there. My hubby had the fish and chips. He said the fish was very good but not anything better than other places. The fries were excellent. Shared the cheesecake which was very good. Great location and atmosphere but we won’t ever be back. Service was poor also. Waitress was almost nonexistent. We were out of water at the end. No one ever offered more.

This restaurant rivals any 5 star dinning experience in the state of WA. The food was fantastic. We did more of a family style to try as many dishes as possible. The bread was fantastic, the prawns flavorful and fresh, the steak was cooked and seared to perfection, the salmon was transcendental (seriously made me rethink what good salmon was), and fried chicken that would shame most of the chicken I have had in the south. Can not recommend their food, their service, or ambiance enough. Do not miss an opportunity to try some of the best food in WA in a location like no other. Be sure to check out Reds Fly shop also for some of the best equipment and guides on the Yakima river.

Taking a detour off the boring highway we discovered the sweet rustic stop by the Yakima river. We actually did a U-turn because it looked so inviting and we just wanted a quick snack during our long 3 hour drive from Spokane to Yakima. Loved the art work, the cute store next door and quick service. A memorable stop and definitely want to come back with entire family.

This place is a hidden gem. I ordered the fish and chips, which were served with traditional tartar and a cocktail sauce. The batter was perfectly seasoned, light and fluffy and not saturated by grease and oil. Same for the fries and the chef’s take on the slaw is insane. On a warm, sunny day, the doors are open, and you can enjoy the wonderful food and a cocktail while taking in stunning views of the river.

Everytime I’ve came here the good has been so delicious! The waiters and waitress are always so pleasant and helpful! I had the watermelon cucumber salad and it was so good! I also had the tomatoe soup and it was so yummy! Definitely recommend going here for lunch or dinner, you won’t regret it!

One of the PNW’s best restaurants – hands-down! I’ve been a fan of Chef Kevin Davis’ since he opened Oceanaire Seafood Room in Seattle years ago. Soon after, he opened multiple restaurants of his own which were landmarks in the city’s dining scene. Fast forward to 2020 when Kevin made his mark at Canyon River Grill. His menus are approachable, fresh and absolutely delicious. His ability to delivery a consistently exceptional dining experience again and again is rare in the industry. Add to that a world-class wine list and stellar bar program, and you’ve got a restaurant that’ll leave you coming back for more. CRG’s definitely my go-to (and worth the drive out to the basalt-lined Yakima Canyon).
