I ordered their beef chow fun and it was delicious, nicely cooked cabbage and tender beef. not oily/greasy. for a small town restaurant the flavors are really close to the authentic flavors i grew up eating. the restaurant is family owned and operated and has been around for 13 years. support small businesses!

Great place to go for lunch. Quick, simple, good food. The price is right for being an express restaurant. Menu selection is nice. The lunch and dinner plates are LARGE portions. A lot of bang for your buck. 2 plates can easily feed my family of four. Their individual to-go cartons are are also stuffed filled. How ever you get it, the portions are great, the food is good and the prices are good. It’s very economical for your larger families.

I have been coming here since I was a kid and I have never had a bad dish. Excellent quality, good portions and affordable. The Mapo tofu and general chicken are my favorite, and the orange chicken is delicious. I recommend this great local family owned restaurant to everyone!

I love this place. It’s fast and inexpensive and tasty. I’ve been coming here for years. My children liked it when they were little and continue to enjoy the food as adults with their own kids. I can call ahead and place my order so when I drive across town its ready to go as soon as I walk in. My food is always hot and tastes great. I’ll continue to eat here as long as they are open. Please don’t close cuz its so hard to have a great place you love to eat, places come and go. Cantonese Express has been open for as long as I can remember and I’ve never had a meal I didn’t like. AND the owners are really nice and always smiling and take time to say hello and converse with you and others as they take your order and get it ready for you to enjoy. Thank you for the consistency, the great customer service and above all the great food and always being there.

Small little place but a HUGE yummy taste…. been going here for years… I’m from SF so Chinese food is huge for me, and Salinas doesn’t have many places I go to, but this one definitely YES! All portions are big and plenty that you can even share if need be…. sizzling rice soup yum, Mongolian beef yum, General chicken yum, lunch or dinner specials a must

Good but not great, that’s what I can say. I got a mushroom chicken lunch special, and it was the okayest thing I ate that day. Price was good, service was friendly, parking was ample, but there’s better Chinese food to be had, even in Salinas.
