I ordered the taco dinner with beans and rice as I usually do. But on June 13, 2023 which is the day I ordered my food to go. I picked it up and I took a bite of the beans first and it had a flavor that was not good, I thought to myself there is no way at that these beans may be bad so I took two more spoonfuls to make sure if beans were good or bad. This beans in fact tasted bitter and in Spanish they were amargos. I called Cancun and told the person that the beans they are serving are amargos which is bad for refried beans and that for them not to be served to people. Unfortunately because I ate more than that one spoonful I ended up with a bacteria in my intestine and ended up in the ER with diverticulitis.

Starting with the food the $10 guacamole had no good flavor at all. Very bland. As far as the Cancun fajitas it was good. No wow factor at all. For $38 for 1 person it is expensive. All I got was the fajitas guacamole and a unsweetened tea.

It’s close to TexMex and after living in Texas for 12 years, it’s like comfort food. The chips are heavy corn type and not greasy. Their salsa is spicy with medium to high heat today, beware. Looks home made. Prices are average to low. I had the Heuvos San Luis, scramble eggs with cactus, beans and rice. It was a little soupy for me. It came with 4 corn tortillas that were homemade as well. Portions were average to large. Flavor was good to above average. Service was good, quick and curt. Recommended if you want realistic Mexican food in Yorkville.
