First time coming here. It is a casual dining type restaurant. They take your order at the counter. Customer service could be better. Restaurant was quite busy. Lots of customers placing to-go orders. The 1/4 charcoal chicken was good and not dried out. Red potatoes were cooked just right. Fried Yuca tasted fresh and crispy. The aji Amarillo and verde sauces were delicious. Fried plantains were my favorite part of the meal.

First time eating here and was looking forward to what they had to offer. I’ll start with their chicken. It’s charcoal broiled and seasoned very well. It’s nice and hot, and packed with flavor thanks to their Peruvian spices and cooking technique. Fall of the bone tender, and a must have when visiting! I had green rice, (was pretty good), and red potatoes. The potatoes weren’t seasoned too well, (nothing a little salt and pepper couldn’t fix), but we’re cooked nicely. I also ordered a small side (8 oz) of fried plantains. The plantains were sweet and provided a burst of flavor to my pallet. They were cooked very well and complemented the chicken nicely. Also a must have when visiting. I meant to order empanadas (chicken and cheese), but completely forgot :(. Someone please let me know how they are! The sides were hefty portions and definitely enough to keep you full for hours! Nice low key restaurant worth a visit! Great for families, date night, or eating alone. Will be back for more chicken, fried plantains, and to order some empanadas!

Food is delicious but they cut the portion and I spent over 17 dollars for less food. Customer service could be better. The lady at the register made me uncomfortable and was rude. The lady that took my order was nice.

Today my experience with Canasta’s Chicken was very disappointing, disturbing, and scary. I ordered the salmon fish meal and the salmon was raw. To say the least, I won’t be eating here again, which is very unfortunate as this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. However, I now have concerns about it’s safety as related to food regulations and no longer trust eating here. If you’re considering eating here, please be cautious.

Pretty good chicken spot. I got the pollo ever with mixed vegetables and white rice. All the food was good and they have a good amount of parking.

I wanted to compare this to DC Charole Chicken and Canastas Chicken won. The chicken alone won the contest. You could taste the spices on the chicken skin, the spices wasn’t burnt, and they weren’t bitter either. The chicken was slightly dry but not as dry as DC Charcole Chicken’s.

Stopping on a drive thru the state and found this place and boy am I glad I did. The portions are HUGE for the price (except for the Greek salad) and the flavor was on point! You can see the grill and the charcoal with all the flavor right in front of you. This is a must stop if you like authentic cultured food!!

Great chicken and the price was great for the amount of food you get with the sides.

Food is absolutely delicious, consistently! The chicken is cooked rotisserie style over charcoal. The sides are always on point. I love the green beans. The green sauces are addictive.
