Campton Restaurant is a family owned business since 1950. Originally an old service station until the 1980s when Junior and wife Cunoy Parker started serving short orders. It officially opened full time as a restaurant on Halloween 1986. We’ve been serving the finest southern cuisine ever since. Some of our staples include hand breaded whole catfish, large ground chuck hamburger steaks, the best Cheeseburgers in the county, and don’t forget our BBQ. We also offer some healthier selections such as salmon or chicken salads. We look forward to seeing you soon!

I was excited to find this place and try the catfish. Was surprised to see the very minimal salad, a little lettuce and two cherry tomatoes, and two rather small whole catfish. Waitress was super friendly and place was packed. Locals must love it. Personally I prefer to eat while NOT having a big tv tuned to a channel that is political and therefore divisive.

This restaurant is easy to find and offers parking in the back of the building. Meals can be eaten in the restaurant or ordered inside for takeout. The restaurant is clean and practically furnished with lots of advertising on the tables and menus. Table service today was a bit slow, but all of the employees were friendly. The hushpuppies and slaw were not great, but the fried catfish, fried shrimp, and caramel pie were just delicious. Campton serves quite a variety of selections, from sandwiches to daily specials, steaks, barbecue, and seafood. Pricing was fair. For diners who love novelties, the restaurant sells a “Straight Outta Campton” tee shirt.

This place is off the beaten path. You might see it if you’re trying to bypass Atlanta. Little country food diner on the side of the road and not right in town. I can’t really remember their hrs and days of operation, you’ll just have to google that but I will tell you that you will not be disappointed. Sorry, I don’t have any pics of food, I was hungry and dove right in when it arrived. Biggest problem with this place is it’s in Bulldog country and I am a Gator fan but I didn’t make that known while I was there.

First time visiting this restaurant. If you love cute, down home, southern feeling restaurants with good old meat and two sides then this is your place. We had the country fried steak onion rings, cornbread, fried chicken, baked potato, and two side salads that didn’t disappoint. Staff is friendly and grateful you came and the food is fantastic. We will definitely be back for more.

The daily specials are always a hit. We enjoyed delicious baked chicken, blackeyed peas, stringbeans, cornbread with a peanut butter chocolate square, and a side order of homemade lemon meringue pie. The child’s chicken finger plate was a hit for our little grand neice, too. Campton Restaurant will keep you coming back as the waitresses are always attentive, courteous, and kind. The family atmosphere draws many regulars in for a fun community dining fellowship spot. Even the condiment tray is always kept fresh with items at your finger tips. We’ll be back and see ya next week.

One of the last family restaurants in the area. Some people will not like the food, more than likely those people are not from Georgia. When places like this are gone it will be a sad day.
