The Peruvian chicken wasn’t my favorite, but I was especially not impressed with the sides, which were cold and bland. When we said we were dining in, they handed us the entire meal in a Styrofoam box on a platter. The box made eating difficult, which was already challenging as the meal consisted of large chunks of chicken and sides not mixed or prepared. This might be fine if I were picking up food from a grocery store but expected more for the $10-20 price range.

We went to Campesino’s today for a takeout meal to warm later for dinner and it was the best Peruvian chicken I’ve ever had! The spice on the chicken was perfect, loved the cilantro rice and black beans! The sauces were outstanding and plentiful without ordering extras. Looking forward to our next trip!

This was my first time going to Campesinos and WOW!! The food was amazing in taste, and big portion sizes for the price. They also sell the best Horchata in the area that I’ve tried (8 different restaurants). You will not be disappointed!

Mediocre “Peruvian” chicken but nice sides at least. Chicken is never fresh but from a warmer, it tastes decent but not quite authentic as they claim. I visited today after a year since my last bad experience when they gave me a chewy and cold chicken, despite asking for a fresh one i saw coming out from the oven, the server gave me one from the warmer and told me they all the same… Today was a tad better but still not great like it used to be 3 years ago when I visited often.

I’m gonna start by saying the yuca and sauces are amazing! However the chicken was not like any Peruvian chicken place I’ve had. It tasted off and it was deff left in the oven for way too long. Great customer service but when I go to place like this I expect juicy chicken with great taste…Will deff have again not too close to closing time to see if there’s a difference.

The place is very clean. I’m a huge Peruvian chicken fan, but this place was okay. The chicken and green sauce was amazing but I wasn’t feeling the sides (chaufa rice and veggies). I would probably give this place another try because they did have a nice mix of entrees/sides.

After having incredible Peruvian chicken years ago in New York, I had tried so many Peruvian chicken places around here trying to find something as good, and never found one. That is, until Campesino opened up a couple years ago. I was so lucky that such good Peruvian chicken could be found so close to home.

Happened to be in Centreville and stopped by… Chicken here is actually very very good and this is coming from someone who eats a lot of rotisserie chicken in NOVA. Some of the best I’ve tried!

Chicken was great temp and tasted excellent. Sides fries and salad tasted fresh. They have some solid sauces. Skipped the green and got an additional yellow! Will come back to try Lomo and other items.
