Visited this place on a Saturday night, we walked in and there was not a sign “wait to be seated” or “seat yourself” we waitied while the waitress went in and out of kitchen waiting on two of only three tables that had customers and never acknowledged us! After a good 10-12 minutes of being ignored a waitress finally seated us without a “welcome” or even a smile. Being late in the evening we ordered something easy, a Turkey Club Sandwich w/Fries, Order of Cheese Balls, Tater Skins, & Drinks with a total of $42.61 including tip! Disappointed in the little amount of meat on sandwich & no cheese. Appetizers were good but only gave us 1 bowl of ranch to split between both sides. About an hour before closing the waitress turned some customers away. Had to get our own condiments and notice a dog in the other room!? They could of been short staffed or maybe just a bad night but we will definitely pass on this place.

Always great home cooked food. Very friendly and relaxing atmosphere.

Their Reubens are the best we’ve had in years.

Had breakfast here one morning. There was no to return cheese in the omelette, which I thought was strange. Hash browns weren’t anything special. The toast was soggy. The price was steep for a small town restaurant. There was nothing special to make me want to return.

Small store front diner. Friendly staff- they made breakfast for my 6 year old even though it was after the breakfast hours. Clean inside. Really good diner food. Highly recommend especially when the other options close by are all fast food. This place is great

A nice little diner/restaurant in an out of the way location. It’s been a few months, but remember it well that it’s worth a short review. I had the Prime Rib which was just average (about what one would expect). But, everything else was excellent and it was the very good service that earned them the 5 stars.

Calvin has very good standard American cuisine. Prime rib served on Friday and Saturday nights, and usually it gets crowded. Their chef salad is large, and you will never leave hungry.

Calvin’s is the best restaurant you’ll find between Troy and Bowling Green on Highway 61. It’s down home cooking served with a smile. Calvin always comes out to say hi. He’s the owner and the chef!

Every time we’ve eaten here we’ve had a delicious meal! The steaks are always perfect! It’s a quiet intimate restaurant with wonderful food! Can’t say enough good things about Calvin’s!
