Great Mediterranean restaurant in San Diego. Food was good. We had the Mediterranean feast + wine pairing, which was basically a set menu. The portion was not too big but we were all full at the end of the meal. Nothing amazing but the dishes were decently good.

Wife decided to surprise me with dinner to celebrate my birthday, we both been wanting to visit this restaurant due to their highly recognitions. We felt unwelcome as soon as we check in with the hostess, no hello, no welcome. Just a stare and a “do you have a reservation?” We proceeded and waited aside for our table to be ready. Once we were seated hostess remind us about their restaurant policy regarding the 20% gratuity charge plus a 4% surcharge. I’m sorry but if customers are paying 24% extra on top of their bill customer service has to be above excellent. First they expect customers to assort their own silverware. Then waitress is nowhere to being seen, the busboy was more of a help cleaning our table and ordering drinks. As we were walking out the restaurant we both notice other groups with personalized notes and desserts with candles to celebrate their birthday. We only got a verbal happy birthday and no thank you have a good day while walking out the door. Food was good but not excellent, unfortunately the service ruined our night. Won’t be back

The food is stellar. Awesome kiddos to the chef and the kitchen team. Very expensive, but excellent..the lamb was the only normal thing, everything else was exceptional. The table service was very good as well. The problem is in getting their and getting seated. You just feel like you don’t belong and they’re doing you a favor. Overly pretentious for my tastes. The whole … We need this table in 90 minutes (we had a reservation) they also say 4 big guys at a small table when a larger one also a four top was never say the whole time we were there. The drinks were good/ok … Nothing to mention. I’m sure the wine is good. I’ll go again just for the tastiness of the food, but when the economy softens they’ll reconsider their relationship to their customers .

Had a wonderful time tonight. Been meaning to come here for a long time, just kept canceling reservations. We enjoyed everything. The octopus was the best cooked octopus I’ve ever had. The lamb rack was seasoned so well, and the Duck was delicious. We enjoyed the food so much that I didn’t get pictures of everything.

Callie Restaurant in San Diego is a highly sought-after destination, making reservations difficult to come by. Despite the crowded atmosphere, we were finally able to secure a table for my son’s birthday celebration and opted for the $70 per person set menu to sample their Mediterranean offerings.

Made a reservation for this place when we were in town for Comic Con. Came with a group of 4 and ordered the roasted eggplant, uni toast, carrots, lemon linguine, octopus, lamb, chicken, pavlova, and rice pudding. The linguine and chicken were standouts. We spent almost $500 which includes their 20% automatic gratuity. There is a $10/person deposit for reservations made through Tock. Would go again.

impeccable service and a very pleasant atmosphere, although I think the table arrangement and seating could use some work, they seem to be pretty small if you get one of the smaller tables. I got the Jamon iberico, chilled broccolini, octopus tentacle, and hanger steak. the broccolini and hanger steak were the standouts imo. small ish portions so plan to eat a little before or after if you have a big appetite. parking is validated if you use their garage

Great new takes on classic Mediterranean flavors. All of the dishes we tried were vibrant and harmonious in flavor and clearly Mediterranean inspired. Callie also adds their own spin on those classic flavors and the result is great tasting food that’s interesting to eat.
