Fish tacos called “island taco” was very good with lots of shrimp and a nice sauce. The pork carnitas I got were very greasy and not as good. Service was quick and friendly. Good hot sauce too

Have stopped at taco joints all over the country and this was the worst! Thought I’d try a taco place in my backyard and was very dissatisfied. Ordered carnitas tacos and a beef taco. Asked for lime wedges for the pork. They had none. The pork was watery and no flavor. The beef was super mushy and not flavored well. Took a bite of each and threw them away. Won’t be back!!!

Ordered the mango chicken burrito but actually had a rice burrito. It was okay as far as taste goes but hardy anything in it but rice. Also the woman who made it doesn’t know how to roll a burrito. It was a big mess. I wouldn’t bother going there.

I used to really love this place, but the past two times I’ve gone my takeout orders have been prepared wrong, which is really disappointing. (Yesterday my Crunchwrap which is supposed to come with beef, came half filled with another type of meat- not sure if it was chicken or pork since I didn’t order that so I couldn’t eat it). Hoping they can get this sorted out as it seems other recent reviews report the same issue.

I am from the southwest so I’ve had my fair share of having eaten different styles of tacos from homemade to fancy restaurant. I was intrigued by California Taco and thought I’d try 3 kinds -island taco, chicken and pork carnitas. I was very disappointed and turned off to find a piece of metal in my food as I was chewing it!!! Very dangerous! Must have been from a can or something that was opened during food prep. The tacos tasted okay- nothing special. The ladies were nice though, but I will not be back

I ordered online and did curbside pickup. The online ordering system is so easy. I ordered a beef hard taco, pulled pork soft taco and a veggie burrito. They forgot to add my sides of smoked habanero and yogurt avocado so that was disappointing. I didn’t enjoy the beef hard shell taco at all – the seasoning just tasted salty to me and the shell looked like it was deep fried. I enjoyed the lettuce and tomato toppings on the beef taco though. The pulled pork with cilantro and onions was delicious in the two soft shells. Salsa was chunky goodness and not spicy. I ordered the guacamole side which just tasted like a spread rather than homemade and the nacho cheese was bright yellow nacho cheese. Veggie burrito was stuffed with goodness as well just wish we had the sides to make it taste even better. I’ll definitely order again and double check that everything is added.

So being from New York every place I have ever travelled I have seen a garbage pizza place bearing the New York branding. This is similar but calling yourself California taco maybe accurate. The food was greasy, had a very high rice to meat ratio and though the woman was super nice to me she was not so nice to the person who came in to complain about her order while I was there. I figured that might have been a one off and came back because there is basically zero food diversity here and I was hoping it’s would be better. I got tacos because the burrito was all rice and had zero flavor. The tacos were again weirdly greasy so much so it required several napkins to clean my hands after. The meat was again nearly flavorless. I have nothing positive to add further.
