I am not a sushi purist, nor did I order anything on the nigiri or sashimi menus, but if you are looking for delicious and creative Americanized sushi then I would absolutely recommend this place. Their menu covers any flavors you might want, from spicy, to savory, to more subdued vegetable or seafood forward items. We went on a day with nice weather and most of the customers (and staff) were outside but we opted for seats inside. I think they were maybe a little understaffed at that time because our server was running around a lot but we did not feel ignored. Perfect match to a day on the beach.

My friends got the sushi, and even though I’m not a fan of fish there were a few that I enjoyed. I got an Asian chicken dish that was spectacular. We ate outside with live music and enjoyed the warm weather.

My wife and I came for the live music, 52nd Street Experience. Excellent tribute to Billy Joel. Chris Prime IS Billy Joel! Outdoor patio seating on a beautiful sunny day. Great food and service. Located right at/in the Port of Rochester building on the Genesee River.

The food was delicious! The live band kept the crowd going and cheering. Our serves were awesome and always a smile and helped whenever needed. Would definitely return!

Updating from a few months ago. Got 3 rolls, plus the crab on pita(idk what it’s called) everything was amazing! Still slower service, but server was way more attentive to needing drinks, and food was much better.

Service was slow. There was shrimp tails in two pieces of the roll instead of shrimp. We ordered and app that came in the middle of our meal that was so greasy. The hover over you when you pay so you feel obligated to tip. I’ve been here before with great service and food, but this was not great.

Best sushi I ever had. My daughter got the Philadelphia Roll with salmon and I got a spicy tempura shrimp roll with coconut. Just fabulous. My husband got the Fish Fry which was a huge and thick piece of fish breaded with an awesome crunchy crust. The fries were also great. Highly recommend! Beautiful location by Charlotte pier on Lake Ontario.

If I could give 6 stars I would! This place is one I will return to! The location is simply priceless. I got to eat and take a walk on the pier. The crawdads appetizer was cooked so well and the sauce was delicious. The Salmon bowl was run of the mill but delicious. I had a mango mojiito and it had real mango in it. The sever was nice and attentive and the decor was fresh and modern. This is a Rochester gem.

The waitstaff was kind and mostly attentive. That is the positive. Now the negative. Our stomachs hurt after attempting to eat here. The edamame was tougher than I’ve ever tasted. I really couldn’t consume my sushi rolls (I ordered a Philly and an avocado tuna). I tried the ingredients individually too to try and narrow down just why they sucked and came to the conclusion that all the ingredients were just low grade… I did not see one Asian person in the kitchen, which may explain this places subpar Asian cuisine. The place felt like a chain restaurant. Probably the equivalent of Olive Garden for Italians. I know some people love this. I don’t. The televisions everywhere distracted from the lack of decor. The music was the typical trendy radio stuff and super loud. Lots of smokers outside. It’s a bar atmosphere. I suppose if you sat at one of the bars and consumed many drinks and were into one of the many sports games on tv and around your belligerent friends, and were absolutely starving and most likely used to this level of dining, you’d see it as your normal every day below average experience. Maybe I am being too critical. But one wonders— should we really be smoking and drinking and eating terribly and distracting ourselves with mindless entertainment and screens? Where is Jesus? Or a good quality sushi roll for that matter?
