This is mu first time at CPK, and I did not enjoy the food there, 4 on 4 for there ambience, service and energy, but the pizza is not that delightful. We ordered roasted garlic pizza on cauliflower crust , tomato basil and passion mango cooler. The server for the evening was Joey and he was good with his work. Made sure he check on us. Coming back to food I was expecting it to be 10 on 10 as I had gone through many reviews. I felt like the pizza was bland with no taste or flavor. I agree that I wanted to try a new pizza topping but I expect it to flavourful, the tomato basil soup bowl was large with just a cup of soup. The soup was good with proper seasonings but not the quantity. We selected shrimp scampi for our try and bake pizza and I still did not find it to be flavorful and taste. I better go to pizzeria or even to dominos . Not to my expectations though

Can’t lie I won’t ever order again. I ordered through their website and everything went smoothe. An hour later I get a text that their delivery driver has cancelled and that the best they could do was have the original order refunded and place a new order with a new delivery driver. I wasn’t going to risk it happening again, and if it is happening to me I guarantee this happens to others frequently. Service could be better. We waited for a table with a half empty restaurant and we had to catch a plane. I think they need more servers for lunch hour. Once sat, service was OK. Food is always amazing. Lunch is a good deal but thick crust Thai pizza could use some more sauce, very dry. Salads are excellent.

I used to be a server for CPK… I know their food well. What’s great, 1st is the service, especially at take out… they really get your order correct and are quick about it. What is not great is the fact that they have changed their bread… it’s now sourdough and very tough to eat. I feel they did that on purpose so that people would order more appetizers… whatever the case, it is not appealing and it makes me not want to order there. I know that sounds harsh, but it was wonderful bread and its just a bummer!! Otherwise as always the food is good, esp the salads …you cant go wrong with the BBQ chic chopped salad!! Long time CPK customer but first time at Mission Viejo. On a Saturday afternoon, we were greeted by a friendly hostess with a smile who sat us promptly. Waitress Macy was excellent, she made a few menu recommendations and we took her up on it. The dynamite shrimp for starters were a perfect appetizer, could have been a main meal. My wife had a lunch combo of pizza and salad, once again Macy recommended the salad dressing and it was perfect, not something my wife would have normally ordered. I tried the burger, I know CPK isn’t a burger joint, but this West Coast version with bacon was fantastic. Manager Patrick stopped by our table to check on things, nice touch, no complaints whatsoever. Couldn’t help but notice the large staff on duty and everybody seemed to be busy doing something, like a well oiled machine cranking out the orders. Looking around at other tables, big appetites, big plates that everybody cleaned up! We were traveling on this day from points north, kind of wish our local CPK was as nice as the one in Mission Viejo, job well done, thanks!
