A hole in the wall that probably can go unnoticed unless you have intentions to eat one of the best ever Jhal Muri or Rassgulla (especially Nolen Gurer kind) . Parking can get pretty tight and you might have to resort to street parking at times.

Calcutta Chaat & Bakery provides a wide variety of options ranging from chaat and sandwiches to Curries and Biryani. I had a chicken egg roll and it was it was a delightful treat! The roti was crispy and the chicken was juicy as anyone would like. The staff is friendly too! I recommend to try this place if you haven’t!

This place is becoming a quintessential “adda” place for bongs in the South Bay Area. With Anupam Roy and Arijit Singh playing in the background and chai, egg puffs and ghoogni in front of you, this place can transport you straight to your college canteen. Yes, the ambience could have been better but the same could be said about our college canteens but they always hold a special place in our hearts and so will this place as you keep visiting it. We highly recommend the fish fry with the “kashundi” as well. Hope you will give this place a try.

If you’re looking for an Indian chaat place, this might be an option, but it’s nothing to write home about. While the restaurant does offer a variety of options, the taste is only okayish, and there’s nothing particularly outstanding about the experience. Overall, it’s an average spot for Indian chaat with decent options but not exceptional taste.

This is the best place so far that comes close to what Kolkata street food tastes like actually. We could not find any shortcomings and if the quality is maintained, this is the place for Bengali snacks. There is not much space to have an atmosphere, but the food does make a difference. I will highly recommend it for any Bengali to try it out.

Unassuming place with delicious food. The egg roll was delicious. Hint of mustard and mayo with fresh veggies made it nice. The jhal mori taste wasn’t for me but mishti doi and gud rosgulla was amazing. Very popular spot with Bengalis so they must be doing good with the fish and chicken dishes too.

Their Fish Fry won us over, authentically made. The fish had rich flavor in the inside and was nice and crispy outside. 10/10 for this dish, will go again only for this.

The authentic street food experience in Kolkata is hard to match and the food they serve in this place comes pretty close. The crumb coated fish fry was tasty but the chicken biryani was not as distinctive. The decor can make a big impact so maybe they could work on it.
