Ambience & Service

Overall the restaurant was good but not perfect. My son loved the burger but my husband’s catfish was a little bit cold. My mango salsa only had two pieces of mango and the coconut rice tasted more like a dessert than something to pair with your dinner. However, the salmon was perfectly cooked and the blackened seasoning was fantastic. We had two drinks, three entrees and an order of the alligator bites and we shared beignets for dessert and it came out to about $100.

I love everything about Cajun cuisine. I’m glad this restaurant opened a location in Hendersonville. The food was delicious as always. We sat outside this time, but our servers still periodically checked on us and refilled our drinks. See pictures below for our wonderful meal. I forgot to take pictures of the desserts – the bourbon caramel beignets before we gobbled down.

Husband had Catfish Pontchartrain and I had the Voodoo Chicken, both with Cajun mashed potatoes. For a franchise restaurant I didn’t expect much ( we’ve been to New Orleans a few times) but, WOW I was amazed. The food was absolutely delicious, not too salty, good size portions, reasonably priced and extremely tasty. Restaurant is very open and gets loud and hard to hear. Server was attentive. Nothing fancy about restaurant but food was spot on good for Cajun style.

The food was fantastic! I had the voodoo chicken, and it was amazing. Cooked perfectly! My coworker had bayou pasta, and he said it was great. Had a good kick to it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

First of all, Service was great, Mattie was very attentive, we loved her! Atmosphere is okay, tables are not comfortable, Drinks are mediocre, margarita mix tasted premade…As far as food, appetizers were very mediocre to lame, Oysters on the half shell seemed to be pumped up with something, very thick… there was only Tabasco, Tiger Sauce and Louisiana hot sauce, no original Cajun hot sauce, Grouper Dinner was literally a step above Captain D’s, Actually Captain D’s french fries are better, Snow Crab Legs were dry, luke warm and sparse, Yaya Gumbo tasted unfortunate and didn’t have okra! The Blackened Redfish Dinner supposedly smothered with Shrimp over Cajun Mashed potatoes was alright but had 2.5 total shrimp and mashed potatoes were runny … The crawfish Queso was terrible and chips tasted like plastic. We were so excited about this place, spent over $200 on a Monday, very disappointed.

We had the best waitress named Katie! She was personable and fun. This was this our first time there and we will definitely be back! The food was spicy but even for those who are not prone to spicier food it was so good. They had gator bites!! I can’t express how amazing our experience here was!

I just happened to be driving by when they were doing their soft opening the day before the grand opening and decided to give it a try as I had heard it was good. The food was excellent and the staff is wonderful. Sara waited on me for lunch and then Katie waited on me and my kids for Dinner. ( yes I returned for round two on the same day ) The food does have a little spice to it but can be tailored if necessary. The mahi mahi was fantastic as was all dishes eaten by my kids and I on these visits. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Outstanding. Having eaten in Baton Rouge countless times, the Cajun food has been brought to Hendersonville. This restaurant has the taste and atmosphere most want before it goes corporate.
