I am super sad that the gumbo is way too spicy now. I bought an XL last week took one bite my mouth was fire heck no! Gumbo isn’t supposed to be spicy ! I understand you want to add more flavors to things but naw… the new owners will sadly run into the ground by changing the food taste. It’s sad the business has been opened for 30+ years and now the food isn’t that great. I used to love the gumbo no more. I will no longer visit Cajun Joe’s I am very disappointed.

Okay so first off don’t listen to the rude review and let me share an actual honest review. The gumbo was great very flavorful an not spicy at all. I did order spicey chicken meal though with baked beans and Mac and cheese. The have a lot of side options that’s just what I chose. Chicken was hot and fresh big decent pieces, actually could have used a bit more spiciness to it but still very good. The corn muffins were good too perfect lil sweetness to them and they were soft and fresh. Place was clean, others were in there ordering when I walked in nice atmosphere and I did have the chance of meeting the new owner also a very nice gentleman we had good convo about the food and what was to come. I asked him if they would be getting walking taco bags an he is, super excited about that cause they are hard to find around here lol. All in all I recommend you stop in there try the food out yourself, nice variation of options like ribs as well. They are trying something different and we could use it in this area. That’s my honest review and I will definitely be stopping there again.

Friendly, fast and F#@$ing spectacular! Excellent chicken reg or spicy, sides are on point. Didn’t take long to get a smelt basket either. Awesome all around, great atmosphere I actually sat down and ate for a while.

Place has really gone down hill. Usually never have bbq chicken available. Barely had any chicken available on my last visit. Side dishes are hit and miss. Corn muffin was hard as rock. It is such a disappointment, used to love this place.

The fried chicken was okay, the chicken tenders were over seasoned and very salty, the corn bread was burnt and dry, the mashed potatoes with chicken gravy was more like a soup, and the red beans and rice were really dry. Sad to say that this was the first and last time we order here 🙁

Very good chicken. I was learey at first to order on a Sunday since they are only open 3-7 but I was pleasantly surprised. Chicken looked really good when I walked in. Person helping me out was very nice and polite. Chicken was very crunchy and very moist. Not dry at all. Definitely be going back for their chicken!

Best chicken in the area! Been coming here since I was a teen, so many many(many) moons ago and the quality has never wavered. Particularly delicious are the bacon broccoli cheddar bites and if you are having a no concern for calories day try out the deep fried ugly burger!
