Awesome! Must visit! Great food! Great customer service! Very Friendly! Clean! The ambiance is so nice, with great music playing on low in the background! And a young teenage girl being the owner with her mom as the cook, that just makes this place worth any drive!! You get the Texas hospitality, a Cajun food menu with an additional (non Cajun)side menu to feed the local and non local customers, but still delicious food(and all homemade)! The burgers are fresh and not frozen Pattie’s! Homemade chili, there is a $5 daily special also!!!! This restaurant has a general store where locals have their craft stands(Tina’s homemade delicious jellies, Lake Babe’s coozie’s, Maria’s cookie’s and more). There is a resale shop, an Antique shop, consignment section, you will find farm fresh eggs(S.O.O.C.A), a locally grown produce section(as available), fresh homemade cakes and treats, and if that isn’t enough you can ask about the bunnies for sale, they are sold for $25.00 each. The drinks sold are non alcoholic- but ice cold! And let me tell you about the homemade seasoning that is given with orders… OMG!!!!! If you like a spicy kick it’s available(homemade) and it comes in a little container !!!! The butter sauce given sure packs the perfect plus to any of the food served!!!! This is the very definition of a great restaurant in Texas!!!! And if you want something a little earlier, you must visit the, “Out of the way Cafe”!, The lake may be low, but the food options are worth the drive!!

I stopped in after seeing the Cajun food flag out front, the parking lot is very shaded with some big gorgeous oaks that just sets the tone, it’s a good place to stop out of the sun. I ordered the jambalaya to go and while waiting, the young lady at the counter was very nice and made conversation and let me know all about their store and the menu options. The jambalaya was very good, even before the addition of their homemade seasoning, the large portion hit the spot and wasn’t too much food. Overall, very pleased and looking forward to adding Cajun Cove to my regular stops

Y’all.. this place has the best mushroom swiss burger I’ve ever had. There’s not even close second. I’m talking about the kind of burger that’s worth a 45+ minute drive. The burgers are so good, I took one to go after I just ate one for later. Stop what ever you’re doing, grab your best friend and go treat yourself to an incredibly hearty and wholesome burger. They’re even priced extremely reasonably. Especially for the quality of burger. I’d have paid twice what the burger cost for it.

If you lose me at Customer Service, you lose me forever. This location in Lakehills has been many things. Recently I drove down PR37 and saw a sign Cajun Food. Lakehills is known for a great Cajun Festival every September, so I made note and decided to give it a try in the near future. Well, today was the day.

The mushroom swiss burger was delicious and surprisingly so was the coleslaw, I don’t even like slaw! The potato salad needed an egg and a drop of mustard for my liking but that’s just me.

The Etouffe is perfection! Nice, family run place. Had a fun conversation with them while they prepared the food. It smells like heaven in there!

We were very impressed on the very first evening they opened! Very good tasty authentic cajun food, friendly folks, reasonable pricing and an indoor casual dine in area. A big plus is that you can BYOB!
