Fantastic food – fresh ingredients, delicious recipes and courteous service. I got the #40 vermicelli and shrimp – deliciously seasoned and grilled – unbelievable flavor. My friend got the steak pho – broth was amazing and the meat was delicious. My other friend got vermicelli with short rip and shrimp – also great. We got the summer roll for the table – everything was super fresh and good. Light and flavorful but filling.

The bun bo hue here is amazing! I can’t say that I am an expert on Vietnamese food/flavors, but I’ve had a loooot of good Vietnamese food over the years and this is definitely one of the best bun bo hues I’ve had. My husband ordered the bbq pork banh mi, which he also really enjoyed. Parking is difficult in this area, but I’m so glad we gave this place a try!

It was a rainy day last night, so we had a hankering for something warm and cozy and pho is perfect for that! We ordered spring rolls, beef ball pho, and steak/beef ball pho over the phone for pickup. We were told 15 minutes so we waited 5-10 minutes and then walked up. When we got there, the rolls still weren’t ready and it took another 10 minutes or so to get them. The place was absolutely dead so it was disappointing to have to wait, but we didn’t have anywhere else to be but home, eating, so it wasn’t the worst thing in the world. If we knew it would be so empty we might have eaten there. (It was maybe 7pm on a Thursday.)

Best Pho I’ve had in Philly! Banh Mi’s are amazing as well.

I had lunch here yesterday and my BBQ Pork bahn mi was delicious. They also gave me a cup of water to enjoy with my meal (on the house)! The portion sizes here are amazing and everyone is so nice!

My go to spot for the best most authentic Vietnamese food. They make hu tieu nam vang just like my ông nội used to make it and their bun Bo hue is one of my favorites. Really can’t go wrong with anything else there too!

The banh mi are a great deal and are made with fresh baguette. The place is small, service is fast, and the employees are friendly. It is quite hot since air conditioning isn’t used.

Have been waiting for Viet Bistro to open for a while now, so was very excited when it suddenly had a “Grand Opening” banner up and quickly called some foodie friends to join me for lunch so we could try many of its offerings!

I’ve been stopping by here most Monday evenings for over a year when in Philadelphia and pick up several Banh Mi (Ga, Chay and Thit Nuong) for dinner or to save for school lunches the next few days. Often get a rice, noodle or pho dish as well. Always great food for the price.

Pad Thai was greasy, no flavor, no veg except sliced green onion and regular onion. Completely boring and my mouth still feels greasy. Other order was pork with noodles but could not figure out the flavor. Again, boring and lacking so much. For almost $40 we expected more. We would not recommend. But South Gate Korean was outstanding. Their reply is an outright lie. It is on their menu. They just don’t know how to make it. I realize it is Thai and not Vietnamese but it is on their menu under chicken, beef and vegetarian. Why do you put something on your menu if you don’t know how to make it.
