What a great find. The food and service was outstanding. Huge portions as you can see by the photo. Pictured are Chicken Carabonara and Veal with Eggplant, Spinach and Fresh Mozzarella. Our server was great and we ate outside in the lovely evening weather. Highly recommend.

Just meh. We ordered the Rigatoni Paesano and the Pollo Rustica for pickup. It was a bit of a wait (not complaining about that, it’s a busy Sunday night!) so by the time we got it, I had almost forgotten what I’d ordered and was kind of confused why I’d get this. My rigatoni had sausage and roasted peppers – quickly realized it was the rustica not the paesano. Not a huge deal, mistakes happen. I just really dislike roasted peppers in pasta so it was not for me and I tossed it. My husband got the pollo rustica (which we ultimately shared) and it was fine, but we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The Demi glace tasted like the one from lean cuisine and I would not consider the chicken to be “Parmesan crusted”. It seemed like it was lightly floured and pan seared but it was a very wet breading. The chicken was cooked well though. Could have done without the haystack of onions on top and the spinach gnocchi just did not pair well with the sauce. All in all, not our best takeout meal but not the worst either.

This place had me at “What time shall we expect you” on their social media page ! The service and at home atmosphere makes this a place you could visit over and over again ! Be sure to bring your appetite too ! They give you enough food to satisfy you and then some ! Thank you Cafe Rustica for your hospitality! Can’t wait to visit again !

Café Rústica was our neighborhood spot for years. We moved away about 10 years ago, but still stop in occasionally. The pizza was always a favorite, and continues to be. We also split a salmon livornese special that was excellent. Our server Audrey was a delight, very friendly and attentive. 14 years-on (I am sure longer, but in my experience) and Café Rústica continues to deliver on expectations.

The food here was okay. I had the chicken parmigiana. The cheese was delicious but the chicken lacked in flavor. The gravy tasted like it was directly out the bottle. We took a slice of tiramisu home and it was awful. The food presentation was amazing and so was the atmosphere. Parking was a plus. This place has potential for 5 stars if it tweaks its recipes.
