This is not the first bad experience I’ve had at this location, but I’ll just focus on today. They have birria tacos on the menu, and it says on the board you can get your burrito or quesadilla birria style but when I asked for a birria quesadilla they said they didn’t make that. Service was slow even though we were the only ones in line, then they charged us for the guy behind us. They took the charge off but once we got home we saw they overcharged for the tacos, I ordered 3 and they charged for 4.

I have eaten at a lot of Cafe Rio’s this is a fairly new location. The staff are young kids and it’s pretty slow. The staff did okay, the manager didn’t seem to care as much as you would hope about a customer who got bad food. First time I’ve gotten something bad from there. It tasted like it went rancid. My wife couldn’t eat her desert either. We went back and asked for replacements and they made us wait til everyone else was served including people that kept coming in. Took over 20 minutes. I was disappointed even though they did make it right with fresh deserts. We eat at many of their locations and the food itself is usually pretty good. Sometimes beans are really dry or the meat doesn’t have enough sauce, so it’s dry or bland.

I placed my order online and went into the Brigham store to pick up my order. Seen a kid sitting in the window and the employees not doing much. I grabbed my order and notice part of my order was not there. The guy behind the counter was nice and got me the rest. Then I get home. BOTH salads had no meat and the tortillas are not cooked and the guacamole was BROWN. MAJOR DISSAPOINTED AND WILL NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND.

I waited patiently 20 minutes for an order and when asked who the order was for for the second time I said the name, and that it is already being worked on then I received the food and said thank you and went to leave. I was then threatened that I could get banned from this restaurant for being rude by Benjamin even though I was patient and didn’t ask for an update on the order once and said thank you when I received the food. That’s it that was the whole interaction. Benjamin needs an attitude check. He shouldn’t take his frustrations out on other guests I have already requested that the service I deliver from removes me from this restaurant’s delivery system do to Benjamin being so rude for no reason. 8/6/23 please check cams and audio for more details about the interaction I believe you will see that I was not rude in anyway and Benjamin should be nicer to people when his store is “busy” there were 2 people in line.

Don’t order take out at this location. I ordered a salad and wasn’t impressed. There was no guacamole on the salad so I had to ask for them to add it on. When I got to the car I started mixing it up and put the dressing on and guess what, there was a tiny piece of meat. In my entire salad, I had two bites with a small piece of meat. Pretty disappointed and each time I go to this location I continue to be disappointed. I miss the old cafe Rio that was willing to add meat to your salad.

Quality of food was subpar. Tostada was missing a few key things like meat and guacamole. The mint limeade tasted AWFUL like the mint leaves had rotted in the container. Overall, my worst experience ever at a Cafe Rio. Needs to be managed better.

Today, I was very impressed with the customer service I received at the drive thru. I’m not sure the gentleman’s name. It says Lorena on my receipt. They were very kind, prompt and went the extra mile with giving me a couple items free, just because. That sweet pork quesadilla and chips and queso, spoke to my inner child it was a 5 out of 5 star experience!

Very dirty surfaces, tables, and trays. The restaurant was out of most things and the staff was out of energy to care. Service was very slow and sloppy. Usually other locations of Cafe Rio are much better, hopefully this was a bad day.
