They Mark all orders as ready for pickup probably make their numbers look better. The trash is overflowing.

Great tasting food as always, but there is definitely something up with Cafe Rio as whole, I see they reapond to reviews so hopefully the message will get to the right people. Cafe Rio employees use to be some of the most cheerful employees in the industry shouting ” Free Meal” every time someone turned in a punch card. Employees today just appear lethargic and exhausted…the tortilla lady looked like she was serving 40 years-life chained to the doughball scale. Almost all of the Cafe Rios I have visited lately are extremely filthy…not like they just finish a busy lunch rush, but like they no longer deep clean after hours. The prep area looked like it wasn’t cleanned all day and the trays were just refilled and not changed out. They were covered in crusty beans and meat. But, the food was delicious, pricing was fair for the airport and I didn’t die. Cleaner than street food stalls in Mexico or Thailand I suppose.

We ordered nachos to go and I forgot to take a pic. The food was good and there was enough to share between two people. We did order extra toppings that weren’t included but there wasn’t a charge.

Food is good, but probably some of the rudest employees I’ve ever experienced. It almost seems like some kind of joke with all the eye rolls. I’m gluten free and they have no training on it. I had to completely abandoned my order last visit, because the employee wouldn’t let me have rice or beans. Clearly on the website it says they are gluten friendly. She just kept arguing and holding up the line when I asked for rice and beans with my grilled chicken. She insisted rice and beans were not gluten friendly and would not serve it. Finally, I just left and abandoned the order, which she had already started. The treatment is really pretty shocking when I work at the airport and eat there almost once a week.

10/10 recommend while waiting for a connecting flight! Delicious and easy to take with you. You can order in line or use their self order screens. Food is prepared fast and fresh.

If you are going to this location I recommend going through the line. Don’t order from the app or use the kiosks. Your order will be faster and correct. And if you are wondering yes they do have wheat tortillas but they do not use them in the online order area.

The reviews don’t lie!! This place is super delicious, decent portion sizes and real bomb eats. Had the vegetarian enchiladas and they were amazing

At the SLC airport location: My “pork salad” had almost no pork and all the workers looked annoyed that I was there. The lettuce was so wet that there’s a bunch of water now in the bottom of my bowl. Usually I have good experiences at Cafe Rio, but I will really think before I eat at this location again.

Usually, I love cafe rio. But when I came here they overcharged us almost double the price and didn’t put the sauce, rice, and beans. This is even more upsetting considering how much extra money we spent on those things. I will not be visiting this cafe rio again.
