Excellent spot for a quick but delicious breakfast in Battle Creek. Unexpectedly boasts a huge menu and a unique cocktail list, filled with coffee/espresso-infused options.

I cannot recommend this cafe highly enough. It’s called Cafe Rica in Battle Creek. First off, LGBT friendly so hell yeah. Second, the servers were all INCREDIBLY sweet after my clumsy self spilled coffee on me! This is definitely going to be a weekly hangout spot for me to work. Pictured is the beautiful latte art on my lavender latte with oat milk – Dakota

I’m not sure why almost all coffee shops push the sexual flag at a good place but they have it right by the front door.

Loved the mimosa platter! Juice was fresh and it was nice to have a variety. My friend got the quesadilla and that was great! The staff and owners are so friendly

Awesome experience! Emersive art where you can speak with the artists one on one. Highly recommend their quarterly art show! Come for the art, stay for the drinks! (Because these guys are serious mixologists)

Atmosphere: Hipster style Cafe with same type of food. Clean with music playing at a low level through the speakers.

Urban vibe, great Java & health conscience, delicious breakfast quesadilla. Sometimes out of items like decaf, creamer/milk options. Sometimes unpredictable service so hold onto your customer number & receipt. I understand from friends that call ahead orders are more reliable. Overall great coffee joint!

Most of what was once positive about this place is fading away.

Atmosphere is lovely and plenty of pride decor (extra points in my book!) with very nice staff throughout my dining experience. I personally ordered the chicken caprese wrap and the seasonal yule tide latte. The wrap was good but a little lacking in flavor and the latte was excellently brewed and I could actually taste the ingredients listed on the menu. I also tried the Churro Waffle and the Veggie Quesadilla and all in all, the flavor was good but not quite great. I’ll be sure to return to try more of their expansive menu and though Cafe Rica thrives in drinks and service, it lacks in consistent flavor.

This is by far one of my favorite places. The food is quality and portions are generous. I find myself continuously feeling like a lot of restaurants are lacking in quality and flavor these days— not Café Rica.
