Always a good time when we visit Cafe Mimi for our work lunches. There’s plenty of seating for large crowds, service is friendly and the food is fresh! Highly recommend if you’re in the downtown Baton Rouge area.

A family owned spot located in the middle of downtown Baton Rouge. This place does great lunch food for reasonable prices. Servings are super generous. Always recommend trying the specials. If you can get here before noon you’ll be the rush of local office/government employees rushing in.

Wanted to try this place for a while now and finally today we went there for lunch. It was packed up for almost as long we were there. The Pho was amazing.. we can feel the flavour richness in the broth. The beef and brisket were tender and went well with it. The grilled chicken was good but the fried rice was OK. The iced coffee was very strong but felt a little expensive @$6 for around 12oz.. would love to try their breakfast someday as i heard great things about it. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

The owners use to have a place called B&B mart that was located in Denham Springs. Well, after the flood they lost their business, so they opened up Cafe Mimi in Baton Rouge. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The food is amazing, and they have a variety of different types of food. Hamburgs, po-boys, pho soup, egg rolls, breakfast food, salads, chicken sandwichs, pot roast, etc. Everything they make is amazingly delicious! The only down side is that they are not open longer than they are. 6 am-2 pm Monday to Friday, and closed on the weekends. It makes it difficult to go eat there because I work during the hours they are open, but I still manage to go when I take a day off during the week. It’s definitely one of my favorite places to go. I’d give more stars if I could!

We went to cafe mimi after some coworkers recommend the restaurant to us. It normally opens for lunch but recently it opens for dinner as well but only in the weekend (Friday and Saturday). We got the spring rolls ($5 for two) which were the best in Baton Rouge – they were very delicious. I got the pho with beef and my husband got lo mein with beef, shrimp and pork as our main entree. I really like the pho which is on the same level or better than Saigon noodles. The lo mein in my opinion is okay and my husband likes it. They don’t have a lot of vietnamese option like broken rice, spicy vermicelli soup, and braised beef stew – but they have a lot of Cajun options which I would like to try more next time.

Probably the best General Tso I’ve ever had. Not too spicy like I’ve had at other places. However, it was a little pricey for being lunch. I don’t want to give less than 5 stars over pricing since thw food was so delicious.

The food is always on point at Cafe Mimi. They have the best shrimp fried rice and sping rolls in Baton Rouge. Their prices have gone up a little bit due to rising food costs. Overall this place is worth the upcharge.

I love going to this place because I work downtown and it’s so close. The last 3 times I’ve been have been quite disappointing. Today I spent $15 on shrimp fried rice. There were literally 6 shrimp and I’m now left with a full plate of underseasoned rice and veggies. It’s so sad that this has to be my last visit.Great staff, but the food isn’t worth the price.
