I visited this restaurant based on its high ratings on Google, but was disappointed with my experience. Upon entering, there was an off-putting smell that wasn’t welcoming. I found the service to be lacking as well; the pay-upfront policy didn’t contribute to a positive dining experience. Additionally, the olive oil provided at the table had an unpleasant odor and seemed past its prime.

I walked into this place and it felt like home. Elie the manager is such a welcoming individual. The food was exquisite and perfect portions. I highly recommend their koos koos salad and their tartar ground meat so fresh! I big thank you to this wonderful family keeping the Lebanese food alive in Houston.

I saw Cafe Lili when I was driving by one day and made a mental note to stop by and give it a try. I stopped by yesterday around 4pm because I had skipped lunch and finally had time to grab some food. It was quiet, but I expect that at 4pm and it gave me a chance to catch up on some emails while I waited. I gave the cabbage rolls, rice, and kibbeh a try. It was like I was transported into my Grandmother’s kitchen. My niece had been waiting to hear my thoughts on the food, so I text her and she made me get her a to go order of the kibbeh, grape leaves, hummus, tabbouleh, and baklava. Everything was amazing. I’ll definitely be back.

What a great experience. I was told the meatloaf tastes like grandma’s and it did with great flavor, but I also felt like I was back at grandma’s place! The took great care of us with comfortable service and an eagerness to showcase their culinary view of the world!

I am a former resident of Houston. My Lebanese mother and myself were in town for an unrelated work expunger. She requested Lebanese food and my heart dropped. Where should I take her? Will she be happy. I chose this restaurant because of my previous positive experiences and proximity from my old residence. Let me say. My mom left in tears. She was crying because it brought back memories of her formative years. All it took was one bite of the baba ghanouj for her to be back in her mothers kitchen. Thank you for a very pleasant meal

My family and I have been coming here since I was little. This family-owned Lebanese restaurant is one of our favorite of all time. Their food is consistently delicious and we love having conversations with the family. My personal favorite is the raw kibbeh which is only served on the weekends. In addition, we normally get babaganoush, hummus, fried kibbeh, vermicelli rice, and lots of other dishes. Their cauliflower is to die for! At the end of the meal, they offer you Turkish coffee. Service is fantastic, food is fantastic, Cafe Lili is fantastic!

We saw a tv show touting Lili and our foodie tax lady told us we needed to visit, glad we did. We loved the fried kibbe, looks like a little football, the outside is made with beef and cracked wheat and the inside is filled with ground chuck beef, onion and roasted pine nuts, then deep fried….everything we had was tasty but these for me, were the best. We enjoyed a kofta kabob plate from the lunch menu. two pieces of ground beef with parsley and onion mixed in….grilled to perfection. This came with a pile of flavorful rice and pickled onions. You have a choice of hummus or a side salad, wifey and i enjoyed the hummus…the only thing average was the pita bread. The Turkish coffee was strong and very much to my liking, my wife not so much which was not surprising since she’s not into strong coffee. She spotted some Lebanese wine and snagged a bottle for our son and a friend. Well worth a stop on my personal foodie bucket list and a speedy return for more goodies.
