We basically had to do everything but cook the food and they ask for a tip twice. Bathroom is a Porta potty , sausage are just frozen store bought, eggs were good not over cooked, but no salt and pepper, french toast is average, food is served on paper plates. Premium price for low quality meal.

So mid! Cold eggs, overly fluffy cakes, zero service yet they ask for a tip ahead of time. Hence, my angry post. You do all the work but not cook. So why tip? For meh food?

Out of all the places we went to eat, this is the one my family kept wanting to come back to. You can find fancy dining on the north shore anywhere but we were attracted more to the modest, down to earth Haleiwa Cafe.

Can’t beat the food! My kids got pancakes and french toast. My wife got the breakfast burrito, and I got the Loco Moco. The loco Moco gravy was kicked up to the last drop! The whole meal was outstanding and there was nothing leftover.

Little pricey to have paper plates and flimsy silverware. Food was pretty good.

The food was really good. I had the Nutella Waffles and my husband had the Steak Ranchero. Both were delicious. The outside seating is nice (other than some ants and flies of corse) we saw two kitties walk by

Place could be a lot better with a little more care for the finer things and some investment. Whoever owns it is running it slowly into the ground. Porto-Jon bathroom in the back was a pretty gross place to use the bathroom when I needed to eat afterwards. Of course there’s no place to wash your hands. Paper plates, paper cups, run down island restaurant feel. Overall ok, food was mid level. The owners need to invest in some customer niceties to keep people wanting to come back.

Cafe Haleiwa had yummy food and an inviting atmosphere. They also have a little area to thrift shop and beautiful locally handmade jewelry. I definitely recommend this place!

Went to a few local breakfast places during the week we were in the island. This place was by far the best one. Fresh orange juice, delicious papaya and pineapple cut in front of you and great simple egg toast breakfast. Local coffee available. Priced very reasonably!
