Café Gratitude is located behind Gracias Madre and in the same family. This location is small compared to the San Diego location I visited last week. The food however is just as good.

Sat on the patio, there was shade and a nice breeze. Servers were friendly and the nachos came really quick. The pineapple upside down cake was delicious. If I lived in CA then I would go again, but I’m glad I decided to add it to my list of places to go while visiting.

First timer. Atmosphere is great. Clean, cool decor, spacious, indoor or outdoor seating. Love that entire menu is plant based. Actually tough to choose – but I went with the “Welcome”, a lentil & butternut squash loaf with amazing sides, liked potatoes mashed and beets. SO flavorful. Had what looked to be drab but was a SUPER tasty dessert – I think it was called “Kind”, a quinoa bar drizzled in chocolate. (ask for the dessert menu). Overall great experience.

We went when they had only. A few customers. It was quite unbelievably poor service. All customers lined up to complain and it took forever to talk about our missing items ordered. No one there wanted to work,I guess. A tip was already paid but they didn’t deserve any of it. Food was not as good as we hope for. It seemed they went out of their way to neglect services to each customer. Its going to be in our memory as a mystery of why everyone working there was not really working to run a decent cafe. The irony in the name is pretty funny.

Finally! A delicious and upscale vegetarian/vegan spot! I took a non-veg friend here the other day for lunch (he was quite skeptical) and he absolutely loved it. We devoured a portion of nachos together, and he grabbed one of the wraps while I ate a bowl. Highly recommend this place for vegetarian/vegans and their non-veggie friends!
