To me the Best Cantonese Chinese Restaurants on the upper East side. Fresh tasting food made to order and a large menu of choices, they do also have spice dishes on the menu from other regions of China.

This place has been around the upper east side for a very long time and it never disappoints! It’s definitely pricier than other Chinese places in the area but they serve higher quality food that is less greasy, less sweet, and less salty. They also serve dim sum all day. With all that being said, some of their dishes are still catered to the western palate but it is still better than other places in the area.

I had read good things about this restaurant. We are new to Lenox Hill area and love Chinese food. We ordered delivery of the fried rice, roast pork egg foo young and egg rolls. When the food was delivered , I received the vegetable egg foo young. I called the restaurant about the mistake. The woman who took the call was so receptive to the situation. She asked me to text a picture. She called me back immediately and apologized profusely for the mistake and had the roast pork egg foo young delivered to us within 15 minutes! What amazing customer service! Now about the food : The fried rice and egg roll were amazing ! And the egg foo young was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. This restaurant will now become our go to place for excellent Chinese food and for equally excellent customer service

Gluten free dumplings and egg rolls… such a rare find. We ordered dumplings, duck rolls, and crispy shrimp balls. They have a whole list of entrees and soups as well. We opted to filled up on appetizers. #glütensiz #glutenfree

Probably the best cantonese food in the neighborhood. Everyone was very friendly and nice. The food was wonderful – definitely made to order, not pre-made and heated up. I recommend doing a few dumpling orders coupled with ginger fried rice / entre. Also, the house tea is awesome.

Right when I walked in, I was greeted, seated, and given a layout of the menu and what was most popular. Inside is very comfortable and simplistic but elegant, and the service is my new standard. The food, my favorite part, was immaculate; absolutely delicious and if you love your food plated neatly, they deliver. Overall, nothing bad whatsoever to say about this place

One of the best Chinese restaurant in the UES. This establishment has been around for decades. Good food, extensive menu, weekend dim sum brunches, lychee martini, and wonderful staff is what you can expect at Cafe Evergreen. Give this place a try.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. They have lightning fast service and a super nice host. Also, best dumplings ever. It’s hard to find good chicken dumplings at a dim sum place but they have them and they’re amazing. Also super yummy scallion pancakes and soup dumplings!

The dim sum and food here — authentic. Service is efficient and fast, and as of right now, I feel like it is the best option for Chinese food on the UES. It is also one of the more pricey options — but the extra $ are worth it. My kids LOVE their soup dumplings — and they are just as good as the “famous” ones places in Chinatown (but no lines and more comfortable seating).
