We are from MN and visited Cafe East while visiting family. Sam was our waitress and she did an awesome job! Not only did she give us great service, she also took the time to chat with us, joke with us and even took a group photo for us. My husband said the menudo was good. I had the pancake special, which was a great value .

I hadn’t been here in years, the food was excellent, the service was quick, and all were kind, and refilled our drinks, never letting it go empty. I really can’t say enough nice things about this restaurant. The food was so delicious, I had the carnitas, soft, and moist.

We are on a road trip, where we have had no good for hours. However, we stopped at this little mom and pop, and my boyfriend said it sounds good. When I tell y’all, this food was so phenomenal, I wish I could give it 10 stars. The service was also incredible, Carmen was our service. She’s been here 23 years, and she treated like one of her own. If I’m ever back in this town, I will make sure to come back!

The food was awesome. The only thing that I didn’t like is that my order was to go, and it makes me uncomfortable now in days that they ask if you want to leave a tip. I always leave one when I eat at the restaurant. Or when they give me the receipt with a tip amount . But this time, I felt even more obligated because I was personally asked by a lady verbally if I wanted to leave a tip.
