Donuts were overcooked. Terrible coffee. Needs some background music and employees that don’t appear to be forced labor. Just a smile would help.

Arrived here at around 615am, at the time the staffed seemed half asleep and pretty much ignored me when I asked where the restroom was.. my partner decided to use the restroom while I browsed the menu. It was my first time here and I didn’t even know how to order. When it was my turn to use the restroom I can hear my partner laughing, always the one to start a conversation w strangers. Nonetheless, when I came out I was greeted by Clarice and Beau and they were happy enough to share the history of Chicory coffee a second time. They were very friendly, I just think we needed a sec. The place was clean and were given samples of their frozen iced coffee.

Great little restaurant. The food is just like the original location in New Orleans, just without the drama of NO. The beignets were great and the cafe au late was strong and good. The souvenirs were good to find. We were glad to find them while traveling Interstate 12. They seemed to have plenty of employees, unlike many neighboring restaurants.

Driving home from Florida for Thanksgiving with family. Thought some beignets and coffee would be a nice break.

Craving some beignets, decided to stop through the drive-thru. Once receiving them, noticed they were literally half the size as the ones in the French Quarter. Not only were they half the size, but they were not fresh. The dough seemed old. They were chewy and seemed stale. Will not return.

The beignets are not fresh here. They grab them out of a container when you order. Coffee was WAY TOO HOT.

I’ve been traveling down i10 my entire life and finally had the pleasure of enjoying the famous beignets. They definitely live up to the hype. This location is great, low key with easy access (plenty of parking too), stop in and enjoy a Cafe at lait!

A classic. We didn’t know there were other locations outside of NOLA but we were happy to dine here on our road trip day from Gulfport to Dallas. Perfect mocha, excellent black coffee, and three orders of beignets to split between the two of us. Yes, we were hungry. Sat on the dog-friendly covered patio!

A must stop when passing through Louisiana. The beignets are made fresh to order. The coffee is available either hot or iced. Sodas and milk are also available.
