Our Story
Culture is what, in death, continues being life. Mexico is beautiful and loved. We are more than what stereotypes say. We are generations of traditions, love and stories. Though skulls, tacos and Day of the dead are known to be “us”, we are as deep as our soul. A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and the soul of its people. We bring coffee from Chiapas, dishes from all over the Republic.
We are more than a café, we are “Café Cultura” – a contemporary Mexican cafeteria.
Cool cafe with a patio turning out casual Mexican fare, espresso drinks & handcrafted sodas. Based on 927 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.4 stars. Price $$

We got there around 12pm on a Sunday. Waited in line an hour. Ordered our food. Food took maybe another 30 minutes. We ordered chilaquiles (red and green), tres leches pancakes, an abuelita coffee with oat milk, and a hibiscus lime soda. Two of us have dairy issues so we ordered the chilaquiles without queso fresco and added vegan cheese. The orders came out with sour cream so we had to wait while they remade them. The hibiscus lime soda was my favorite thing there. I might try it again when the line isn’t so long.

Lots of really good veggie options and a lot more that you can customize to veggie since soyrizo is a protein option. Also, vegan milk is available for the cafe drinks. Cajeta latte was rich and creamy, and the chilaquiles burrito was perfect. Long line to get in but it moved fast and was worth the wait.

The food is good but the service can be a bit slow from ordering to getting the food to the table since it’s made from scratch. The dessert that stood out the most was the Pan dulce french toast.

Service was ok and only smiled when I tipped. Chilaquiles and horchata latte were mid but the tres leches pancakes were amazing. I would like to come back and try French toast and the breakfast torta.

A very nice and cozy place for food and coffee. Definitely will be coming back earlier for their conchas which sell out fast. Their food is exquisite and for a good price!

This place is absolutely delicious and there’s always a line, for good reason! First time we visited, we waited 1.5 hours; it was worth it. The second time, we waited only 20 mins. Their chilaquiles are some of the best I’ve had in Orange County. Their breakfast burritos are also very tasty, whether they’re vegan or non-vegan, all great. They’ve got a wide variety of traditional and modern Mexican breakfasts with lots of coffee options as well. I love their lattes! Parking is across the street in a garage with 2 free hours on weekends. Some street parking is available as well, just harder to come by. The service is always fast, friendly, and efficient. I definitely recommend checking Cafe Cultura out!
