I absolutely love Café Blackbird. Their garden salad with Greek dressing, the Hippie veggie sandwich, and the Greek sandwich are among my favorite things to order. The portions are large, prices are very reasonable, and everything is fresh and delicious. The desserts are another major highlight – BEST cookies ever!! I always just get my orders to-go, but need to hang out in there and dine in one day. Employees are always friendly, and I can’t recommend this place enough.

On the outside, this is the perfect addition to Denison’s ever-growing Main Street. And on the inside, this beautiful, quaint cafe has a lot of potential. It reminds me of a spot on McKinney’s eclectic town square. However, I just don’t think Denison is ready for the inflated prices on Cafe Blackbird’s menu. And maybe I’m wrong… as the line was almost out the door when we arrived.

THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD! We got there right as the looked like they were closing (even though their Google posting says they close at 6PM & it was 145PM). We both got the Toasted turkey sandwiches & they were huge! So yummy – you can tell they have artisanal touches behind their items. We followed it with some sticky toffee pudding from the dessert case – which was AMAZING! We will be back & hopefully won’t feel like we gotta leave so soon after eating.

This is such a cute and family friendly cafe. We were big fans of the fresh bread and soups. The Greek quickly became our favorite menu item and they have great pastries and desserts. I was pleasantly surprised to see creme brulee one Saturday. Definitely worth stopping by.
