This place is so cute and just a perfect little stop for a delicious meal or warm drink! The owner was there at our first visit and just as kind and helpful as could be. The chicken salad sandwich was divine and honestly the same goes for pretty much everything else we ordered. Definitely a new favorite place in Edwardsville!

Cafe Birdie was a precious discovery for me! My husband and I had a really lovely experience. Our vegan dishes tasted excellent and the owner was so kind! Still daydreaming about the Birdie Cake. 😉

Edwardsville, IL needs more food options like this sweet, little place and fewer chain restaurants! Fabulous lunch! The blackberry bread pudding was heavenly, chicken salad sandwich was excellent and so was the staff/service. We will definitely be supporting this establishment often..thank you!!

Had the most wonderful chicken pot pie from Cafe Birdie this past weekend. The workers were super friendly. Would definitely recommend this cafe!

I HATE being this person because I love supporting small businesses, but honestly this place just isn’t good. From lukewarm food that took over 30 minutes to get (we were there for over an hour & people came and went before we even got our food) to NO A/C (it’s 100+ outside! This is dangerous for workers & guests, fans do NOT cut it) & mediocre service (we asked for extra sauce and they looked at us like we had 3 heads), find somewhere else to eat. The $40 we spent here was NOT worth it. The tater tots looked reheated & weren’t crispy. They were like microwaved tots. Chewy. The food was eh, nothing special. Overall, this place is just really ok. Not a good experience & the food wasn’t good enough to make up for it ♀️ staff had bubbly personalities, but weren’t really nice if you asked for something. Will not be going back.

Café Birdie has become a regular meet up for my business networking group! They have a simple menu, but that’s how I prefer things & I think they execute it well. I’m excited how they evolve over time as a new business!

The staff was so welcoming and attentive. They even made for us food as they were cleaning up. The atmosphere of the cafe is amazing and relaxing.

Nice little mashup of a coffee house, tea room, and diner in downtown Edwardsville. Great food. Nice staff. Plenty of veggie options.

A cozy, delightful new little brunch and lunch spot that already deserves to be a staple in downtown Edwardsville. The atmosphere and decor are as refreshing and tasteful as the food is flavorful and creative, and the small, intimate environs feel like a little retreat from the bustle outside. In particular, the Steak & Poblano sandwich left quite the impression. Would return again, and very quickly.
