Have been wanting to try this gem & finally enjoyed a special evening there. 6 different dishes & ALL were magnificent (we were too busy tasting to take pictures!). Very authentic food, in fact 1 or 2 dishes were better there than in Italy! Definitely will be going again soon. Our waiter was very pleasant & never rushed us.

I don’t know why it took me so long to try this restaurant, but it’s one of the best Italian places in Lafayette. It’s become my go-to Italian restaurant over the last year. It’s rare that I can say that every meal I’ve ever ordered from a restaurant is excellent but Cafe Bella has done just this. It’s a true gem.

Our waiter came once to mention he was busy and over the next hour he never came back until the check where he tossed the check on the table and said how busy he was. We ordered drinks by quickly catching his attention and as he walked away looking at us loudly ordered them and after an hour they delivered them watered down and hot. Unfortunate, because the first time we went was pretty good. We tried to hang in there and give the waiter the benefit of the doubt but after getting the hostess to get the waiter to bring the check for two drinks we decided we wouldn’t be coming back.
