Shockingly loud; no manager to politely encourage people to use their indoor voices. People were literally screaming for the hour we were waiting for two burgers. We weren’t offered bread or nuts…the waiter was very nice but this is nuts. We actually sat at the bar because it was quieter. And the burgers were burnt. You all are better than this.

Excellent omelette, potatoes, and blueberry pancakes. If you’re staying at the Westin, get the room rate with breakfast included.

Shantia and her staff worked impressively hard to provide us with a memorable experience and fond memory of our stay at The Westin at Port Harbor Maine. The food was very good, the service was on point, and the ambiance was inviting. This team, 100 percent, made our stay worth traveling to Portland, ME.

Very average. Appealing because of their happy hour menu, but the service was totally confused, the appetizers were not great, and the entire vibe is, maybe not surprisingly, like a basic hotel.

As an egg cookbook author, I feel pretty comfortable reviewing especially breakfasts. There’s not much that can go wrong with a standard hotel breakfast of eggs, toast, coffee..but there’s alot that can go right. Starting with the casual ambience and super efficient, friendly wait staff. Nice street views from the window tables. I stopped in for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day and was pleasantly surprised. The omelet was nicely cooked, not dry and overcooked as sometimes happens. I chose chicken sausage, cheddar and mushrooms as my 3 options. Delicious. I had a choice of toast and went with the wheat. It was perfectly toasted and served with housemade ( yes housemade, I asked) blueberry jam. But the real stars on the posts were the hashbrowns. Just enough spice, perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender inside. So often hashbbrowns are an insipid afterthought, but not in this case. There are other standard breakfast options …Eggs Benedict, pancakes, eggs every which way…and sides… although I have to say a side of lobster is a new one for me! I’ll come back tomorrow for breakfast again. Well worth the $14.

Good service is relatively common. But service that leaves a lasting impression is far rarer. We raved about Sloan’s service for the rest of our night.Sloan made us feel important and she made one of the best manhattan’s I’ve ever had. The food was great and we ended our evening with tea and the Biscoff Tres Leches Cake, which she insisted we try. It was so delicious! We hope to see her on our next visit! Go in and see Sloan at Congress Squared in the Westin, you won’t be disappointed!

Sloan and Tom are absolutely the best thing in Maine. Such wonderful people. My home state, Colorado, could learn from these two. Hat’s off and Hugs….

My meal was delicious. The butternut squash soup was smooth, and the flavor of the squash was the most present flavor. I love that it was not overpowered by anything else. The bartenders are excellent and friendly. They have an excellent absinthe with a strong flavor. The bartender said he was more than glad to pour me some as he had made a mixed drink using it, and the manager would not put it on the menu. He is an excellent bartender, and I enjoyed talking with him about alcohol.
