Great local eatery! We waited about 20 minutes for a seat at the counter (only 2 of us- so that was fine.) FYI- There are only a handful of tables – larger parties need to be flexible. Our late lunch was well worth the wait! We had the homemade chips and salsa as an appetizer. Before we were finished with it, our food arrived. I ordered grilled old bay grouper tacos and my other half ordered grilled old bay shrimp tacos. Both platters arrived quickly. They were fresh, well-cooked and beautifully presented. I added onion straws. He added fries. Both were piping hot and delicious! Food is great and the atmosphere is quirky. Come hungry. Be patient. Leave happy and full! Highly recommend trying them out. We will return!

We drove 30 minutes to get there, hour round trip, worth every mile. The shrimp tacos were amazing. Shrimp is seasoned with a little kick. Fresh rice, black beans, onion, lettus, cheese, and soft taco shells held their form even when loaded up. The sauce added a nice flavor. I did not use the salsa just because I chose not to. Four soft tacos, 12 seasoned shrimp, and more than enough fixings. I used 3 shrimp for each taco, and I think I ended up with one bonus shrimp. Well worth the trip. The business does have a small, but, nice dine-in area, but we ordered to go. Food was ready when promised in about 15 minutes and we arrived at about 5 p.m. and they were not too busy, but I understand that they usually have a nice line, so be a little patient. The owner was there, and the service was spot on. I rarely give 5 stars because too many people just throw that number out there, but when I give 4 stars, I stand behind them.

I found this place when researching places to eat when in Buxton. I loved the vibe and bright colors of the pictures and knew my husband and I needed to make a visit. I knew I wanted to try the tacos so I got the old bay seasoned shrimp tacos. My husband got the fried oyster basket. Both did not disappoint. The service was great and the presentation of the taco ingredients was aesthetically pleasing to the eye – as well as tasted great! We loved the sauce given for the tacos and the salsa was a nice kick. We will be returning the next time we are in Buxton!

Don’t mind the host’s attitude! She cannot tell you how long the wait is…just place you on the waiting list. However, our waiter was great, friendly, and knowledgeable of the fish being served. Happy we followed his recommendations! Great fish tacos seasoned to perfection. A great find in Hatteras. Parking on premises and seating indoors. Recommended

Their high marks aren’t wrong! The blackened grouper tacos were cooked to fish perfection and filling. The staff is also attentive and friendly, they have Coke products(!!!) and a counter for those lone eaters.

Buxton Munch Co was recommended to us when vacationing in Buxton. The shrimp tacos were amazing. My husband loved the fish tacos. For some reason I thought it was just a walk up carry out place but there is dining inside and very cute with a beachy, Jimmy Buffet vibe. The food was fresh and delicious. It was not overpriced and the young server was pleasant and great at customer service. The portions were large so we took what we couldn’t eat back to our AirB&B for later. The only thing I would change is the to go boxes were cardboard and everthing had to be thrown in together.

First off, its off the beaten path, but dont let that deter you from finding this treasure. Once you find it, you will be hooked. The service was phenomenal, I think his name was kenneth, but I did take out and eat in and both times loved it and so excited to say its around the corner from where we live now. The selection is very unique and they have colorful chips, sweet potato waffle fries, regular fries, and etc that are delicious. I have tried two wraps and my husband had I can’t rave enough. It reminds me of a tropical decor and atmosphere and its peaceful and unique. They appear to take care of their team/family and it appears in their service that they love their employers and restaurant, and that’s something to be proud of. You are supporting small business locals and being we have a tiny family business that makes it more magical. Their menu is diverse and their shrimp chowder is like no other. Their wraps taste more like gourmet with combinations of different dressings, jams, etc with tortila chips and large servings that you can even take home. If you are looking for a relaxed family down to earth, delicious lunch go there…you will be amazed.

Being from Maryland’s Eastern shore it was a little adventurous for me to order the crab avocado wrap , I usually only eat crabs or crab meat at home but I tried it and it was very good, staff was helpful and friendly. decor was a little tacky but had a good vibe. My friends had shrimp and fish tacos both were delicious with large platters of toppings for a reasonable price
