This place is amazing! Avocado toast was the best I have ever had. Pastries are to die for. Cappuccino is delicious even when I substituted oat milk. My daughter got the Neapolitan iced coffee which was made with fresh strawberry juice. It was unique and delicious! Try this place.

There is not a sector Buttermilk focuses on where they don’t shine. The pastries, the biscuits (well all the food really) and even the coffee are top notch. You can taste the craft and love put into each item that is served up. I would do crazy things to get my hands on one of those Cork pastries everyday! On top of all that, the space itself is so well designed and yes, skillfully made by hand as well. Go to Buttermilk you won’t be disappointed.

Really great food here. I’d go out on a limb and say that was the best breakfast I’ve had at a restaurant in Sarasota, especially at such a great price. I had the biscuit with sausage gravy and bacon, and every element was just perfect. Fluffy egg, smoky bacon, rich gravy, fresh biscuit, with a beautiful delicate presentation. Talented people working in that kitchen. I’m impressed, can’t wait to come back and try more of what they have to offer.

This place hits on all levels. We got the bacon jam and egg biscuit, pimento cheese + egg + bacon biscuit, and chia pudding. We would get all of it again. The baked egg is flavorful and the biscuits are what a perfect biscuit should be. Plus they have a full lineup of coffee and tea!

Their biscuits are chef’s kiss. Get the avocado toast on a biscuit rather than the brioche. The Benton’s bacon jam + egg biscuit is unlawfully good. Bizarre location but it works really well, with a quaint inside and nice seating area outside (dog-friendly too).

What a nice place to have breakfast! I brought my 5 year old son. He had their yogurt, fresh fruit, granola and picked out a pastry. I tried the fried chicken sandwich and made it “nasty”. Heads up, they provide a fork and knife with it for the messy gravy, so don’t expect a typical handheld sandwich. Between the fried chicken and biscuit/gravy it had the perfect balance of crisp and cream. Tiny bit too much pepper. Honey, cinnamon iced latte was made to perfection. Decent parking in the back(although we didn’t go on a Sunday morning!) and you could dine with your pet outside if you’d like! Service was very pleasant. Atmosphere and decor is cute. Kid friendly, but maybe a bit much for kids with a sensitivity to noise because of the open floor layout. It’s nice to sit outside if there’s an open table(only 3)Give the place a try! I will definitely go back.
