Pretentious setting with unique offerings. One of the finer dining experiences available in the area. I ordered one of the Eggs Benedict options, and my test for the quality of a poached egg is the whites not being runny, you might not have the same expectation. As for flavors the breakfast was unimpressive but not bad. Where they shine, is in the name. Their butterhorn is what it’s all about, I’ll attempt another visit and try the corned beef hash next time, the atmosphere and options make this restaurant worth visiting, you may fall in love, and as for their butterhorn it won’t leave you disappointed.

The food here is unbelievable! My husband ordered the beef tip with horseradish mashed potatoes, & I got the salmon. We also had walleye cakes as an appetizer & bread pudding carrot cake for dessert. Everything was knocked out of the park—impeccably prepared & beautifully plated. To top it off, the staff were so thoughtful & personable, especially considering that we had a small infant with us who was a little fussy much of the time we were there. Will definitely come back when we’re next in town!

Had an excellent time with my mother here at Butterhorn. The menu items now have improved since the first two years y’all been open. Glad that y’all have small plates. We love them. Please keep that going. Not many places do that. Plus, Nathan gave excellent service, explained in detail the items on the menu. Thank you Butterhorn and Thank You Nathan.

The server was attentive for a large party and ensuring each order was right. The Italian salad had a delicious dressing but I found it odd that it had only one thin strip of provolone cheese. The side salad didn’t have all the vegetables, and it was just lettuce with a few tomatoes. The pumpkin soup was good but appeared to have sat out a while and was served warm. The highlight I waited for was the pot de crème. It was a long wait for dessert but the server advised a larger party was also dining. The pot de crème was grainy and the orange gel was too rubbery to eat. It was difficult to cut a piece off and wasn’t appealing. It ended up getting in the way to eat the dessert below. The drunken cranberries added a nice tart flavor to the crème. It was over two hours to dine but we understand it was during a Friday night.

Gordon Ramsay would be proud. Nathan was very nice and accommodating. The server was polite and prompt. The butterhornes were possibly the most delicious pastry I have eaten.

We started with some amazing appetizers, Artichoke app was spot on but what got the most praise was the meatballs, they where simply put- brilliant! We didn’t had a chance to try their bread since they run out of it. Beef tenderloin was simply melting in your mouth but the brussel sprouts where way overcooked. Mushrooms pasta was rich, creamy and delicious. Though, a little bit more mushrooms inside would enhance the visual experience as well. Service could’ve been little bit more attentive.
