Overall the food was excellent. The oysters and halibut were very fresh and well prepared. We also enjoyed the fried chicken as it was moist and served with a fried green tomato. The most outstanding part of our dinner our server, Claire! She was one of the best servers we have ever had. The restaurant was very busy but she managed to give us the utmost attention and was extremely pleasant. Amazing how important service is to making the dining experience stand out. Thank you Claire!

Just moved here from Nashville, this place is a must!! Their own take on Southern cooking and it was delicious. My wife had the halibut and she really enjoyed it. I had the fried chicken and fried green tomatoes it was also really good. Of course we ordered the fried pickles, oysters, tomato and burratta stack and cornbread to start lol we’re foodies. Portions are small on the apps but that’s good because I would have easily filled up with what we ordered but the portions are a good amount for just two people to share.

Nice restaurant in downtown Natick! My husband loved the scallops but for $32 there were only 4. I ordered the chicken which was tasty but the fried green tomatoes tasted plain. Otherwise, the cocktail was good and the service was great. We enjoyed our dinner. It’s just a bit pricey for what you get.

Decent place – very good service. The food is fresh and tasty but lacks real flair.corn bread tasted ok but seemed like it had other flour in it. Beet salad’s beet was not tasty…short rib was good and fish tacos were average. Buttermilk chicken was good. The fruit crisp was good and brownie was ok. The cocktails were not bad.

After reading the reviews as well a the menu options, I was truly looking forward to enjoying a meal here. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed. I started with the cornbread which was presented beautifully but quite dry. For my main course I chose the short rib, which again was presented well but lacked flavor and followed the same theme as the cornbread, dry. Based on my first two courses I decided against an overpriced dessert since Buttercup already had two strikes. Nice atmosphere, service was good but the food was not what I had expected.

Always a great meal! The staff is friendly and attentive, the room is comfortable, and the food is fantastic. Start with the lavender corn bread or the grilled watermelon salad, then try the halibut or short ribs, end with strawberry rhubarb cobbler. What’s not to love?

Sat at the bar to start out with randy making drinks. Fantastic knowledge and good recommendations on cocktails. Moved to a table where taryn was our server and she was incrsdibly knowledgeable and very proper with service and replacing flatware where applicable. Food was fresh and delicious and hit the table quickly. Will return soon!!
