Started out with Soup Beans (pinto beans), corn pups (I call them), and onions. Comes with every meal. Yum yum. I had meatloaf with 3 sides, homemade Mash taters, MAC n cheese & corn. I got the special sauce on the side for the meatloaf. He got the special which was lasagna and salad. It was great. Too. One of the best meatloaf I’ve ever ate. I also had strawberry pie, and it was delicious. I felt the portions should have been a little more for the prices, however it wad all good.

good food, good atmosphere, staff very nice and ready to refill your drink, take your order. Very homey feeling. Very clean and professional. Our food was hot, burgers were juicy, fries crisp, sweet tea was perfect. Every meal comes with soup beans and corn bread.

Decorated really well. Neat photos on the walls. Group of with separate checks, kept adding to go orders and dessert but the waitress was fantastic! Everything was correct and completed quickly and efficiently. The blackberry cobbler was excellent. The hot fudge cake was big enough to share- but you don’t want to!!

Best cheeseburger in town. All the food looks really delicious. We stopped in for a to-go order, only took about 12 minutes, great atmosphere, the staff are very friendly, it does cost more than your normal burger spot, our bill was around $50 for 3 meals and two dessert, but in my opinion, Worth it! We will definitely be eating here again.

Butter & Grace has been consistently delicious every time we’ve eaten there. So far we’ve tried the Alaskan Whitefish, country fried steak( it was a special, but should be added to the full-time menu), hamburger steak, and breakfast dishes. Fantastic! And the sides make me want to order a vegetable plate, which I have never done before. The green beans, soup beans, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, cornbread salad, Mac & cheese, and Cole slaw are so yummy! But the best part about this place is what stands out the most to me — the GRAVY. Both breakfast (brown, with sausage in it) and the dinner (brown) gravies should have their own food group. Large portions and delicious food keeps us going back for more.

We have had Breakfast twice eating in & Dinner once with carryout. Consistently, the food is delicious with generous portions. For the area, Butter & Grace offers superior quality for home cooking where you can taste the difference due to the attention given for the best taste. You get what you pay for plus. You’ve got to try the coconut cake. Best biscuits & gravy, omelettes & hands down the best white fish. The starter pinto beans & hush puppies can’t be beat.

We went on a Saturday evening around 6:00 pm after hiking on Roan Mountain. I had read about this new restaurant in the paper and thought we would give it a try. There were only about 4–5 tables taken during the time we were there. The soup beans and corn pups as a starter were really good. We had a party of 4 and one of the guys with us decided to order the unlimited beans and corn pups as his main dish since he liked the starter so well, which was $6.95 I believe. This would have been a great deal, but no one ever came back to the table to see if he needed more so with the one bowl and 2 corn pups, the price wasn’t as attractive. I ordered the fish with fries and both were good. Other reviews mention huge servings, but I received two smaller pieces of fish (strip size) and a normal amount of fries so definitely wouldn’t agree with the huge portions. My husband had the meatloaf with sides. We had to flag a lady down (I believe she may have been an owner) to order dessert and request drink refills. My coconut cake was good, but my husband’s cobbler was on the dry side. All in all, not bad food, but was a little more pricey than we expected. For the fish and meatloaf, two desserts, and two sodas the total was over $60.00 before tip. It wasn’t bad, but not anything I would spend $60.00 on again.

Sitting next to a very sketchy looking apartment building so I was pretty skeptical. Walking in you can tell how much love and attention to detail has gone into fixing the building up to create an adorable little country restaurant. Food was fantastic, best meatloaf I have ever had. Happy with soup beans and corn pups being a starter, at first I thought it was an odd complimentary starter but I really liked it.

New place with nice atmosphere. Limited menu, but I thought it was better than Cracker Barrel in some ways. I loved the cornbread salad and the complimentary soup beans. The meatloaf, fish and cobbler all get a thumbs up from my kids and me.
