This is a great spot! The food is really good and more than reasonably priced. There are so many things on the menu to try and all come with great reviews. The staff is what got me though. In a world where no one wants to work, they were so friendly! We came in shortly before closing without realizing. We offered to take out food to go and they told us absolutely not! They told us to take our time and not worry about it because they would be there for a little bit anyway. They continued to check on us and we even had one girl stop to make sure that her cleaning wasn’t bothering us. This was after closing! We were pleasantly surprised and felt that they went above and beyond what we could ever expect. I highly recommend this small little diner. Great food and friendly staff!

Friendly staff, fast service and steaming hot food. Can’t wait til next time I go here. Not to mention wallet friendly prices. I had a small horseshoe which they put chili on never had a horseshoe this way, but it was delicious and my sister n law had the chicken fried steak sandwich, which she liked a lot

While I love supporting local business, The foreign owners have turned this once local icon into a POS. They still have great service due to the long time servers. Everything is now frozen food. No more real American fries, just frozen cubed potatoes. I’ll not return. Might try RJ’s South Pekin.

#1 Breakfast ever. Staff is unbeatable. Very down to earth, kind, and on top of everything. Your coffee cup don’t stand a chance of being empty. Always my favorite! In the photo. Hot Hamburger. It’s insane good!

You need to make sure you take more than cash. The short rude waitress told me you just take cash too! She was rude about every! The tall, thin waitress was wonderful! Pleasant, very descriptive of meals, and actually waited on customers. She would not be working at a restaurant that so much to be proud of. Get rid of her! I won’t be back until she is gone.

Worst experience in almost 30 years of going. Food came out at different times, omelet was wrong after server asking what exactly we wanted in it. Took 20 minutes to replace and we finally got the toast right before the replacement omelet. People were walking out waiting on food. The food was not worth the wait. We will be going to American Grill from now on!
