Awesome waitstaff, service and food! Will definitely be a repeat customer whenever in town! Special thanks to Nate, Steven, Kari and entire staff for such an exceptional and most of all enjoyable dining experience! Keep up the good work guys! I recommend the chargrilled oysters, the best in town!

I decied to come here for the 1st time after this time on the Northshore bc of supposed steak night. I don’t think I got the advertised 18.99 for a ribeye… Which I also pre messaged on FB about it. But it is what it is.

I hate to write this, but overall a disappointing visit to Buster’s Place. Service was disorganized, one of our party had their meal forgotten (then a 20 min delay), just didn’t have as warm a feeling of hospitality as other Covington restaurants. Fried Oysters were good (not great), but onion rings were superb.

We went to Buster’s on Sunday 7/3, right before the restaurant was to be closed for the following week. We were not greeted so much as being told to sit anywhere. We ordered the chargrilled and raw oysters. The chargrilled oysters were not hot and the raw oysters were not cold. We watched as our server held the oysters near her shoulder while she had a prolonged conversation with the oyster shucker, her ponytail swinging dangerously close to the oysters that we were about to consume. When the oysters finally arrived, we ordered a beer to go with the oysters. She did go get the beer right away, but her conversation with Mr. Shucker was not over. Once again, we watched her hold the beer as she continue the prolonged conversation with the shucker. He must be very interesting! When the chargrilled came, they were not bubbling hot like one might expect something coming out of a broiler might be. They were little warmer than room temperature and topped with barely melted waxy parmesan cheese and seemingly nothing else. We split the seafood platter which wasn’t terrible. Although it lacked seasoning save for the oysters which were extremely salty, it was hot and not greasy. The oysters were heavily breaded and cut into strips rather than fried whole and we did not receive the ‘corn fritters’ that come with the plate. When we asked our server, she let us know that Buster’s was closed the following week and they had run out of them. Perhaps, she should have mentioned that when we ordered? The ambiance of Buster’s and the cleanliness were okay, but it definitely felt more like a barroom than a restaurant. While it was very affordable for a seafood place, I guess you get what you pay for and I that we will not be back.

Only reason for the 4 stars is because of the price for the food, it was good but I don’t think $20 is worth the crawfish Alfredo

Aw, you gotta try the GRILLED oysters. Goodness gracious they’re delightful! Served in their own charred shell and topped with delicious seasoning. You will ask for extra French bread for dipping into the juice!. Yummy

This is a gem if I have ever found one. This place looks a touch like a dive but it is fantastic. Service was casual and fun and still delivered as well as some of the finest restaurants. Cocktails: the mule was not quite what I was experiencing but still good. The Bloody Mary was fantastic and I wish I could have 10 more of them. Soft shell crab platter, crab cakes, potato salad, raw and grilled oysters were ALL fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

My first time dining in downtown Covington. Overall the restaurant met my expectations. Staff was friendly, food was good, prices were reasonable and serving sizes were fair. Probably will be back again.

Over priced. Fried oysters were to salty. French fries had no taste. Fries were not hot. Then I looked @ the walls. Walls were thick with dust. Decor on walls had dust hanging on them. As I was paying my bill a huge cockroach was headed towards a customers table. Customer jumped up from her seat when she saw the cockroach near her head. I saw enough. Someone needs to clean this place up.
