How the mighty have fallen. One of the few places that survived the redevelopment of the area. This place was once the one you’d go for drinks and decent food. Now, it’s spot to get weak watered-down drinks, bad service, terrible attitudes from the wait staff, and food that barely can be called edible. Much less food.

Excellent service, Excellent food, Excellent beer! Rockstar recommended! Came here for before our show at the Varsity Theater. Tacos were very generous work fillings. Walking distance if you’re touring musician. They’ll treat you right

Horrible discussing food. I have absolutely no clue how this place managed to pull any positive reviews. The employees have no customer service skills at all, and the food we received was cold, and completely flavorless. So upset that we payed $45 for food we ended up throwing out bc we were too nervous to finish eating it.

Avoid this establishment on a Friday night. We came for food and drinks at about 11pm and we were waiting outside for 5 minutes in line until we asked the people in line why we were waiting. When they answered “we don’t know why”, we approached the staff and asked if the establishment was at capacity just to determine if we should shuffle off. We were told in a condescending manner that they didn’t need to answer any of our questions and that we can either wait in line or get out. Obviously this business does not need patrons besides current U of M students – will not be coming back.

Love the food here and I understand it’s a college bar, but the fact the daily specials are only for college students is kinda ridiculous when I go there all the time. Still this place is better then chipotle or Qdoba as far as food taste plus it’s cheaper and you get a bigger portion. I’d give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the specials I can’t receive

Every once in awhile I’m in the mood for this place and unfortunately always come away feeling the same: it’s alright. I really like the amount of customization options, I like that I can get my nacho toppings in a separate container from my chips in a to go order so nothing’s soggy but time and time again I’m never satisfied with ny Neal. The flavor just isn’t there to me, but it’s a decent spot if you live nearby.

I used to love getting burritos here, however without the old burrito bar it can feel more like a bar than a restaurant. The last time I stopped in I was less than impressed with my burrito which was cold from how much sour cream was added. The one staff member working seemed less than interested in having a customer watching their phone with headphones in. That isn’t to say I haven’t had many good burritos in the past, there seems to be a shift in their business to be a little less burrito and a little more loco recently. It is a super fun place to have drinks, enjoy a fishbowl with a few friends, and grab a bite on a night out. Overall a classic Dinkytown bar.

Cashier was extremely nice! However the Burrito was pretty bland. If you like Tex-mex this is the place for you.
