In one word, incredible. Just an amazing experience all around.

My husband and I had a great meal at Burlingame. Cozy vibes – old home turned restaurant – fireplace, etc. The staff was very friendly, from the hostess, the woman who filled our water, and then our server – who was very knowledgeable. All food is made in house. I had a great coconut guava mocktail (pregnant) and my husband had a gin cocktail. We split the tomato/peach appetizer which was delicious. I got the lamb bolognese and my husband got the fish special. We were both very happy with our meals. I would recommend for anyone visiting Amelia Island who is looking for a nice dinner out.

Seriously one of the best meals I’ve had in Florida. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff were terrific. Every bite I was reminded that the person who prepared our meal really cared about making the best dish possible.

Incredible all around. Standouts were pork chop, brussel sprouts, mezcal spicy drink, catch of the day (red snapper), and service by Ashley.

Lovely atmosphere. We ate there last night on a Thursday and we’re able to reserve a table on the covered patio same day. Food was delicious. I had scallops, my husband had the pork chop. Both were perfect. Meal prices are on the higher side, higher than Google indicates. Expect $45+ per entree. Great spot for a date or celebration. The problem…service. Our waiter couldn’t have cared less about us and it was obvious. No warmth, totally unhelpful, he disappeared frequently for long stretches and didn’t tell us about all of the specials until we probed. We overheard another waiter reviewing them and knew there were more items than what he was telling us. We suspect he skipped lower priced items. My husband is nicer than me. I would have scorched his tip. We can’t be the first customers to notice this guy.

This place was amazing. We had muscles and Brussel sprouts for appetizers and both were excellent. For the main course, we had shrimp and grits and the lamb pasta dish…both were amazing. I also loved the Float on mixed drink and it was awesome. Overall, this was the best dinner we have had in a long time. Great service and atmosphere. We will be back.

It was just okay. This was the second time here and it wasn’t great. The food combinations are over the top “inventive”, but the prices are just ridiculous now. We paid $56 for the Halibut, which was the Fresh Catch of the day and didn’t include the upcharge for splitting the dish and another for omitting peas andcreplacing them w three asparagus pieces. It was good, but was presented tepid with a giant, slimy leek on purple potatoes. Our friend had the Crispy Skin Salmon and she loved it. My husband had the Pasta with Lamb Bolognese, which he said was good, but not memorable and our friend had the Shrimp and Grits.

We came for my husband’s birthday dinner. We started off with the beet salad which was very flavorful. The duck croquettes were perfectly fried with a soft breading firm enough to hold the ball together. The beets and balsamic reduction were delicious. My husband had the duck breast and after tasting it I wished I had orders it! It was a large breast and the outside was nicely crisped and so much flavor! It was perfectly cooked medium rare and so tender. I orders the shrimp and grits as my meal so they doubled the appetizer portion to make it a dinner portion. The shrimp were cooked perfectly too. They were slight crisped on the outside and nice and tender, not chewy. However, the grist were lukewarm, not hot and they were low on flavor. That’s my only complaint. Service was phenomenal. Everyone was very attentive.

Stopped by for dessert and drinks. Amazing service since you open the door. The hostess was kind and attentive, didn’t catch her name unfortunately. Christine our server was amazing. We had peach gelato, homemade ande delicious with the granola, loved the crunch and the sweetness. The crème brûlée was perfection. My husband had the Pisco Bond and I had the Coconut lime & Guava mock tail, both refreshing. Highly recommend. Sit inside during hot heather.
