This place is wonderful. We came here for my birthday in February but my partner has been eating there for years and it’s come to be a favorite of mine, too!

I can’t eat their food anymore due to allergies to soy&sesame seeds, but This use to be my favorite sushi place! I’ll come back once they have soy free and more gluten free options. The toro is unbelievable it’s the freshest in town. Also, if you’re Asian, the owners can speak (little to fluent) Vietnamese,Japanese, Korean,& Chinese from what I recall. I also recommend the yami Yami roll wish I could have it but the unagi sauce is soy . So yeah if you have no allergies like I do, go lol I’ve been debating going and just bringing my epipen lol seriously that good.

Customer service five stars!! The waiter was so nice and polite. I ordered the tofu, salmon skin hand roll and sakuri roll. The tofu was great, and the outer layer was crunchy which is what I like most. The salmon skin hand roll had a lot of salmon skin but it was missing the standard veggies that were usually in sushi, such as cucumber. It was salmon skin and rice wrapping in seaweed. It also has teriyaki sauce that I don’t remember ever having with my salmon skin hand roll. The teriyaki sauce masked the flavor of the salmon skin, and it would have been better without it. The sakuri roll has soft shell crab and variety of fish. The soft shell crab was delicious but again, the was teriyaki sauce on the sushi roll, and I couldn’t taste the fish. They should have left the teriyaki sauce off the sushi so that. It ruined the sushi. When I eat sushi, I like to taste the raw fish. I couldn’t taste the raw fish because of the teriyaki sauce. My meal also came with fried pieces of something, might be tempura. I think it was fish in it but my friend said it has octopus. Whatever it was, it was pretty good. A little feedback from my friend who is an expert food critic, in my opinion… he though the food was OK. He ordered the udon and a couple pieces of sushi, tuna I think.. He didn’t think the sushi was that fresh. His sushi rolls didn’t have teriyaki sauce and explains why he was able to take the fish.

Not bad! This isn’t the most fresh or upscale, but if you’re looking for a good “American” sushi roll or a nice large bowl of spicy tuna, this place hits the spot and saves the wallet.

I love this location. It’s a little hiden gem of Burke. Even after moving away, I drop through whenever I can. I love the couple that runs the place and the food is AMAZING!! The salmon skin app is to die for and the sushi is perfectly fresh and melt in your mouth good. The Udon(had at another point) is a favorite of mine and also a former roommates when we lived across the w. If you haven’t tried it, you should!
