One of the last few restaurants before you get to the lake. Stopped in for food on the way home. Nice staff, quick service, prices are good! The burger and fries was surprisingly very good. Nice seating area outside in front where you can look at the water or sit in the side “yard” with pretty flowers.

Got the garden burger. Menu didn’t say and I didn’t ask what kind of plant-based meat it was, but it was great. Even better that it had all the toppings I was fantasizing about on the way down from a long hike. The fries were a little thin and could’ve used a bit more seasoning, but the burger sauce was delicious. Nice to have places like this.

the BEST thing about the Burger Stand are the specials that the cook creates. not only are the breakfast sandwiches big, hearty, and delicious, but there are other surprises on the menu as well. Beef Bulgogi sandwich with Kimchi?!?! unbelievable flavor! try it on the fries too! I now follow The Burger Stand on Facebook so I can know about the new specials they create! don’t sleep in this small town, BIG flavor spot!

This place is so nostalgic for me. I remember getting chicken strips and jojo’s and the BEST ranch to dip them in, from here in the 80s when we’d come to visit my grandma from Tacoma. She worked here and I’m in shock that the place is still in business because it was so many years ago. It was much smaller back then from what I remember but the food hasn’t changed quality at all . Still the same delicious food I remember as a kid. I smiled as I ate just remembering how much happiness that woman brought when I see she had a bag from there. ♥️

My family and I spent a few days in Hoodsport, Wa. On our way out to a huge hike on Mt. Ellinor, we stopped at the Burger Stand. Our burgers were great, friendly service, etc. But as we were walking out, the breakfast cook delivered food to another table that smelled so good, I had to stop him to ask what it was. He offered to make us a small sample. It was the bulgogi and he brought enough for my family of four to try. James, the breakfast cook, was so friendly! We returned the following day for bulgigi burgers, which were amazing! James did us right then, too. When hubby asked if he could get cheddar instead of the pepper jack, swiss, or provolone options, James offered to fry some shredded cheddar and add it. When he brought the food, he told us he’d added our requested jalapeños to the fried cheddar before putting on our burgers! Again, the friendly, personalized service, laid back atmosphere and incredible food, made this our favorite place. It was our hope to return a third day for James’s famous breakfast sandwich, The Big Nasty, before we left, but we just didn’t get up early enough! James, if you read this, thanks for adding to the joy of our trip! We’re gonna make our own version of the Big Nasty at home!

The chicken sandwich was really good, fried to perfection, the filet was not bogged with grease, the chicken was tender, juicy, and not 1 spot of gristle. The sandwich comes with ranch, and I was able to substitute with mayo! Must have again when I am in the area. The fries were also a hit! Not overly salted, fried to a crispy yet tender center. staff is great and friendly!

We ordered a deluxe burger and chicken strips and while those were good the guy at the counter gave us a taste of the bulgogi burger meat since we were curious. It was amazing we immediately ordered one and proceeded to devour it.

Arrived behind multiple large orders and had a bit of a wait, but in the end it was so worth it! The guy that took out order was super kind and communicative about our order. We got the bulgogi platter, chicken teriyaki, gyoza and egg rolls. I wanted to take pictures of the food to post with my review, but it smelt so good driving home we dove in as soon as we walked in the door. Everything was delicious!! We will be back for ice cream soon!!
