We passed the Burger House Restaurant on the way to a lake that we fish at and decided we would try it on our way back through. I’m almost certain I tried it as a child. I love old burger joints and it did not disappoint. My boys are huge fans of the Frostyette in Sand Gap and The Parkette (recently closed) in Lexington so they were hoping for a similar taste. They both loved it as well. My youngest loves the Patty Melt at The Parkette and was hoping to get one here. When we didn’t see one on the menu we asked if they could make his burger with toast instead of a bun since we seen that they had grilled cheese on the menu and they did. We ordered burgers, fries, onion pedals, Philly cheese steak, and coleslaw, we enjoyed everything. I prefer my coleslaw to be sweeter but that is just a personal preference, my husband thought it was great the way it was. The goop sauce is amazing. We went back up and ordered a large side of that. The workers were all very pleasant and working very hard. We will definitely eat here again.

We drove to Lancaster to eat and as we drove by this place something kept it on my mind. After finding nothing worth stopping at in town, we doubled back and stopped. The gentleman who took our order was very friendly and helpful. He gave us some of their secret sauce.. goop I believe, and suggested we try it. The food and the place was wonderful. Very warm, very down home. We will drive all the way from Mount vernon to eat here again. Excellent.

I serviced this place from 2002 until 2014 for pest control , this is by far the cleanest restaurant I have ever serviced and have ever ate at , always enjoyed the older couple and their daughters hospitality while I was there greatest place in lancaster to eat

I go here often, I love the food and the staff. Very nice restaurant.. I’ve never had any problems with them nor the food, until today. I ordered two burgers, one which was fine. The other, was raw in the middle. Luckily I happen to look down and notice it, and thankfully my kid was not eating it. Now, I love this restaurant but I couldn’t believe it. Not the owners fault one bit but whoever is cooking should make sure the food is properly done

First time at this place and I found it by random on google looking for somewhere to eat with my friend I got a bacon cheeseburger it was really delicious I also fried pickles which were also really good and some onion rings the tasted a plain but were also good BUT it was made better with the goop. Let me tell you the goop sauce is amazing absolutely amazing made everything 10x better I swear the goop is a go to we all must bathe and praise the GOOP. AMEN

The bacon cheeseburger was very good the fries EXCELLENT the onion pedals were a very nice surprise and THE PEACH SHAKE IS UNBELIEVABLY WONDERFUL and I say that was the highpoint of this ALWAYS BUSY spot chicken sandwich grilled VERY GOOD but that shake made the meal that much better
