Good little burger spot. Was in the area, so I thought I’d give it a try. I recommend getting a double cheese burger if it’s a burger you’re craving because the patty was a little thin. None the less, it hit the spot.

Great food, burgers and fries are great. Kids like the pastrami sandwich and the fish and chips. Great service. One thing to know there is no air conditioning so wouldn’t sit and eat on a very hot day best to grub hub and pick up.

I grew up a block away from the “Booger Basket” in the early 70’s and this place was a dive then but they were hands down the best burger in Monrovia. I stopped in for old time sake last week and the place is still a dive and the food is just as good as was 50 years ago. Don’t change a thing!

I love this place. The food here is great and i love coming back here for some more delicious burgers. Burgers are always fresh and juicy. The fries are crispy and cooked to perfection. I come here a lot and i expect to come here more.

What happened to this place? Did it get hit by shrinkflation much like other businesses after covid? I ate here today after about a 10 year break and I don’t recall the burger patty being this thin before. The patty was thick as a Ritz cracker (no joke). Fries were still good. Pastrami sandwich was good. Would have been better with sauerkraut, but they don’t offer that. Onion rings tasted like crispy crackers; was there even onion inside?

How about a double chessburger with fries . Excellent fresh made. Juice meat . A must try . Basket burger is definitely a classic place on East LA , where you can get the home made flavor in every item. Some times breakfast hours get pack so be aware of some waiting when showing up between 8:00 am – 9:30am . But is worth it.
