A lovely cozy place: balanced taste, nice portions, good and fast service. I recommend tofu – it is really great.

Read some reviews and was very excited to sample another Korean joint in the city but I would say the experience was slightly lackluster.

This was the best meal we had in Philly, and it was not expensive either! The servers were attentive and there were a lot of Asian people eating there which is always a good sign! It’s definitely Asian fusion but it had a healthy dose of authentic too. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Bukchon is my favorite restaurant ever. I always eat here when I visit my sister in the city when I come home from college, and whenever I am away, I miss it a lot. The service is amazing and the food is so good. Everything is fresh, tasty, and the presentations are beautiful. The ambiance is so nice and the music is so comforting. I love Bukchon so much and they’re an amazing business to support!

Flawless dinner experience. The spicy pork bibimbap, ribeye bulgogi, and banchan were all absolutely delicious! Our food came out shockingly fast and the service was great. Lovely decor and atmosphere as well — the mellow, dimly lit (but not dark) and creatively decorated space make it a great choice for date night. Although we didn’t take advantage this time around, the BYO option is always nice. I’ll definitely be back!

Came here for takeout but would consider coming back to dine-in! I got the kimchi and tofu and it was pretty good! I especially like that kimchi tasted fresh and not like it’s been sitting for too long. The order came out to ~$16 which feels a bit pricy for a dish that doesn’t come with a starch but I haven’t been to any Korean restaurants in this area so maybe’s that’s standard. Regardless, the food was good with a decent number of tofu blocks to make up for it. The menu also generally looked looked good so I’d definitely come back to try some of the other dishes for dining in.

Good and authentic flavors with decent portion sizes. The Teokbokki and Japchae were amazing. The Bibimbap was filling and delicious.

I ordered japchae and the tofu stew without tofu and pork.

Had an incredible dinner with friends at Buk Chon. Admittedly I haven’t had a ton of Korean cuisine but every dish we ordered was exploding with flavor, plus big portion sizes! BYOB – come for the food (5 stars for the food)

This place is absolutely amazing! I came here with my husband on a whim and did not regret it. It’s a small, cozy restaurant with a relaxed ambience, and the food was divine. We started with the sweet chili Korean fried chicken, which was perfectly spicy and crunchy. I got the spicy pork bowl and it was so warm and filling. Definitely give this place a try if you want delicious food and a break from the chaos of Philly!
