I found this gem of a restaurant almost by chance when I visited another establishment close by, checked their website and promised myself I would come to try it. I did today and I’m so glad I gave it a chance. First, the environment is great, it is new, clean and modern. That’s very different from most of the Peruvian restaurants in Los Angeles (which are usually in old strip mall locations, most of the time in not so nice areas). But the most important fact is that the food tasted AMAZING. We had the Anticuchos and Papa a la Huancaina for appetizers. Both excellent, but the anticuchos deserve and extra special mention! (I recently reviewed the very good ones served at Chifa in Eagle Rock, but these were even better). The meat was very tender and the aji anticuchero was exactly like the one you get in a good street vendor in Peru. Then, we had the Lomo Saltado and the Aji de Gallina. The lomo meat was cooked perfectly, the exact amount of sauce, and the flavor on point. Aji de Gallina is my favorite Peruvian dish and this one did not disappoint at all (I have found that others I have tasted in LA were too diluted and weak, but this one was spicy but not overwhelming and the texture was perfect – the only thing it lacked was potatoes, but at this point we had eaten so much already that it didn’t matter . The white rice was also quite flavorful. Even though we were super full we decided to get dessert and were gladly surprised by the lucuma ice cream (I wonder if it was made with real fruit…although it is more likely that it was canned lucuma paste- we thoroughly enjoyed it!). I greatly recommend this restaurant, it serves quality Peruvian food at a very reasonable prices.

The food was not bad, not great… certainly much better Peruvian restaurants and at better prices too out there. While the food is okay at best the service is horrendous. There only seems to be one server and she is horrid, one of the worst servers I have ever encountered. She is rude and extremely disrespectful. We drove from far away and she was vile because my daughter forgot to call her back to tell her the final count in our party (8). There were maybe 3 tables, 2 which left within 5 minutes of us finally getting sat but first she yelled at me because my daughter didn’t remember to call her back…guess she was excited about celebrating her birthday, which was the only reason we didn’t leave. If my daughter wasn’t set on this place I would’ve left like she told me I could when I asked that we be sat at a booth. My dad and grandmother are in wheelchairs (my father has cancer and my grandmother is 102) and I let her know they needed a booth but instead she put together 3 mismatched tables and said that was all she was going to do because my daughter didn’t call to confirm and my other option was to leave. Like I said the only reason I didn’t was because my daughter planned this and my family was on the way. She knew if we stayed she was entitled to 18% when she didn’t deserve a penny. When a busboy tried to set us up in a booth, she screamed NO at him…he waited until she left and did it anyway. I hope he still works there. Within 10 minutes we were the only ones there and remained so for an hour. There is NO reason to waste your time or money and be disrespected for mediocre food and horrendous service. Anywhere else is a better choice.

Food was decent but prices can be a bit high. There is definitely better Peruvian food in the valley with larger servings for those prices. This place is kind of new school so I think thats why the portions are smaller for “aesthetics”.

I ordered one bisteck a lo macho; but it wast so spicy en horrible testing, but they do not offer another options; definitely is imposible to dialogue with, specially with the manager, they; I say to them I can’t eat spicy food but they didn’t fix the situation; also I ordered a side of beans but the amount of oil they put in is terrible; the communication with the personal, specially the person in charge is impossible; absolutely it’s the worse restaurant I’ve ever been in my life. Horrible service.

Fell in love with Peruvian cuisine. We ordered a side of Platano Fritoand an appetizer of Anticucho de Corazon. That heart was divine and amazing. I ordered the Arroz con Pollo and was pleasantly surprised at how big those pieces of chicken were. The flavors worked so well together and there was so much food my son has to help me finish it. My son had the Lomo Saltado and loved every bite of it, he even ate the tomatoes. You don’t know how rare that is. Overall I can’t wait to come back.

I must say the food at this restaurant is delicious. My boyfriend and I always get the same plate which is the lomo saltado and the bistek a lo macho. Always so good. Also the severs and chefs are so attentive and kind, especially Connie & Walter. 🙂

Quiet little spot we stumbled upon trying to find some place else. Staff was friendly and knowledge of menu. Although they didn’t have what I originally decided on…my alternative was delish! I enjoyed the Quinoa Salad. A little pricy but food was pleasant!!

The food is amazing, and the place is nice only one thing that changes my mind to come back is the service I guess but I not sure the lady told me she is the owner but her attitude was rude for me this is the first time I saw her, but besides the bitter introduction, the food was good

Food is delicious. Service is great. Very welcoming. Highly recommend. Our 1st, but not our last time here. We order lomo saltado, pollo con arroz, arroz con mariscos, pulpo a la parrilla, anticucho de coraźon y papa a la huancaina. Everything was really good. I was not a big fan of papa a la huancaina, but it was okay. It’s definitely a great addition to the city of San Fernando.
