Buddy’s Detroit Style Pizza is really good! We had the “6 Mile Pizza”… The comes in either 4 squares or 8. We had the four squares and it was enough for two people, but next time we will probably add an appetizer or maybe a salad in addition to the pizza. The atmosphere was nice and the wait staff was awesome. There is a separate bar area and lots of dining room spaces. The bathrooms were clean and fresh. I believe this would be a fine place for families. I’m sure we will be back again soon. We really enjoyed the crust! Give this Detroit style pizza place a try! Buddy’s is the real deal I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Give them a try!

Our waitress was phenomenal. I forget her name and forgot the receipt unfortunately. We ordered a mixed drink, buddy’s bread, Mac and cheese, Margarita pizza on thin crust and a Motown Museum pizza on original crust. Everything was better than anticipated. We were starving and this hit every spot we wanted .

We came in with a fairly large group of 9 but we were all able to be sat together. While the staff was very nice, the waitress forgot to put in my husband and my order so while everyone else got their food, we ended up having to wait for another 20 minutes until we got our food. That being said, they did give us our food free if charge due to the oversight.

Cool place where someone definitely paid attention to the aesthetic. Our food was great… Split the Greek salad and Italian hot sub. Both very good. Service was good and staff was friendly and helpful and kind. We didn’t like some of the music… Too overpowering at times when hard rock was playing… And we were there at lunch… It wasn’t party time! Also, someone who seemed the manager kept walking by, taking very loudly to repairmen. It was odd and disruptive. I don’t think we’ll be back to dine in but we’d definitely get take out from there….

First time visiting this place. Can say was not disappointed.Food was fantastic!!My daughter and I loved the mozzarella sticks and we both love the loaded fries which were made with wedge fries!! Our pizzas were also fantastic, with the crispy crust around the edge, oh my! I usually don’t eat the crust on any pizza but couldn’t resist this one. Our waitress was really great to friendly and took care to see to anything we needed. Thank You Buddy’s Pizza! Keep up the great work of serving great food. Will definitely be back and will recommend you to family and friends

We stopped on a road trip. We got wings to start. Tasty, but pretty small. My sons got sandwiches, I got the buffalo chicken tender salad. We all enjoyed or lunch. My salad was big, which made the small amount of tender pieces on top seem too small, but other than those couple of minor issues, we enjoyed ourselves. Our server, who had quite a few tables did an awesome job keeping up and being friendly and polite.

The restaurant wasn’t too busy, and it was a great place for my family to have dinner! The server did forget my sister and her husband’s order, but was kind, got the food made quickly, and comped the meal for them. The food was delicious, and the drinks were great too! Definitely a must go to place in Portage!

Mike the “General Manager” at the Portage Michigan location felt it was more important to ask us to move our table to another location for the “Trivia Group” who must be more important than we were for a 4 person table top. He explained he had a big group (a single 4 person table top makes a difference). He also stated there was a person hard of hearing….. there was over 10 chairs at bar available and 2 booths… but he wanted us to move. We cancelled last round and order to go. He offered us coupons… it was one the most ridiculous contact with a “General” manager…. I will never go back and will tell as many people as I can of this experience. The bartender Phillip was awesome and just apologized for general manager being his boss and nothing he could do. Phillip was tipped appropriately and we left forever
